I'd take off 1/2 Star since you have to install the gasket and it isn't a continuous gasket, but the box is sturdy for being plastic, has stainless screws, and is offered at a decent price. I will buy more. I'm using one box to mount a buck converter, on/off switch, and 9vdc power jack with a battery converter mounted on top for a Milwaukee Fuel battery. It provides ample, clean power for guitar pedals. The batteries last many gigs before needing a recharge, it's easy to carry a spare battery and it eliminates searching for a 117vac outlet, ground loops and having another power cord on the stage. Use a daisy chain, plug and play, excellent clean power and far less expensive than the regulated, filtered power supplies they try to sell you. FYI, you can do the same with a DeWalt battery adapter, or any other. You'll need this box, the battery adapter (they come with on/off switches and fuses), a buck converter and a DC out jack. Tools; a drill and bits, screws to mount the battery adapter, a soldering iron with solder, and a multi-meter to set the buck converter voltage. Not difficult to do. ... show more

These things are stout and make good project boxes for anything that's going to bump around a lot. I've used them in this past and this time needed something to build a breakout box for my guitar cable. Easy to drill and work with. A nice weight that doesn't slip around easily.

One of the enclosures had a very small nick at the edge of the top cover. Quite honestly, this would not bother the majority of users, as it was so minor. I do tend to be picky about these things. It would very possibly have happened as a result of Amazon shipping them in a thin plastic bag, and not in a box with packing around them. The surface of the enclosure is shiny plastic which shows fingerprints readily. This may or may not be an issue, depending on the application; I just thought it was worth mentioning. Four holes are included for fixing the box to a structure without compromising the weatherproof seal, as is common with these types of enclosures. Good value, and seems fairly sturdy. Worked like a charm, I didn't like my winch controller on top of the winch so I relocated using this box. worked great and housed the controller and wiring well. Box is built sturdy for this use.

I bought this box to house an arcade stick and it worked perfectly. All I had to do was drill the holes and I saved myself like 60 buck. Def buying another the next time I make a custom mod.

Solid, well made little project box, better than I expected for the price. It hasn’t rained here since I installed the antenna matching balun I put into it so I can't attest to it’s water resistance yet but the o-ring type seal seems good. The only disadvantage I can see is that the interior space is a rather odd shape, so measure the size of your project and check the specs of box carefully before you buy. ... show more
