UPDATE: I have used the bag several times to carry groceries from the store, and it is very sturdy. It doesn't hurt my back, neck or arms, and I have carried it with heavy items (milk, yogurt, etc.) while walking over half a mile. The inside material is well made, and shows no signs of tearing, etc. The zipper is hard to pull closed when the bag has a lot of stuff in it, but if you put both straps up so that the two zipper tracks are close to each other and then zip it, it closes. I bought this bag to carry groceries that require refrigeration when I walk home from the store (about half a mile in New York City). It is very well made and the straps are long enough for me to carry it on my shoulder wearing my black puffer coat. The insulation looks thick and sturdier than a previous freezer bag I had where the liner just ripped suddenly after I used it a few times. I haven't actually used it outside yet, but I just wanted to review the quality of the bag (and I am a very particular person who finds every loose thread on shirts when I shop for new clothes. Bought this so I didn’t have to always bring the bigger cooler with when traveling for the day. It has come in handy more times than I expected. It keeps food cold with ice packs for a decent amount of time. I usually go 3-5 hours at a time as that’s what is needed. Size is good for my needs. Was able to fit a veggie tray and Costco pumpkin pie in it sideways at the same time, plus ice packs.
