I was looking at buying both the straight jaw version, https://amzn.to/3eCebIr and the round clamp version. https://amzn.to/3pHAlzl I was glad to find this combination at the same price as one of the others I was planning on buying. The clamp is made of some type of metal alloy that seems a little soft but OK for a small tool not designed for heavy use. You may have issues if the harder steel bolts are tightened too much. The ball and swivel are a little rough on the one I received and do not allow smooth movement but do allow it to be positioned where you need it. The swivel does stay in place well during use. The additional round clamp add-on comes with an adapter to hold smaller items down to about 5/8" is a nice addition. The bench/table mount is designed poorly designed or they ran out of the proper part. The bolt used to clamp it down is not the right length and a 1/4" thick nut is used as a spacer. (It's not even a nut that fits the thread of the bolt) Mount issue #2, Unlike most tools that clamp to a table the pad that contacts the bottom of the mounting surface is fixed causing the tool to move when you tighten it. Me gusta que trajo las colchonetas plásticas para no maltratar el trabajo si es delicado como el mío y el tamaño práctico y que si es 360 grados pero solo tiene una parte donde baje para ubicar el trabajo de frente como lo hago ver en la tercer foto necesitaríamos 1 espacio en cada sentido en total 4 o algo que se pudiera hacer también 360 grados de rotación en forma horizontal ya que esto es muy útil para las manualidades es fuerte, firme, estable y con artículos para uso delicado. La parte que es para uso circular o esférico definitivamente no la necesito eso es algo que podrían al menos para comprar opcional. ... show more

    • Absolutely worth every penny, can't go wrong
This vise isn't made for heavy/industrial use......but great 4 gun smithing,rc hobby,lock sport hobby .....this vise is more then worth every penny.........I've read some reviews that it broke on 1st use and that it's no good...I say that they either got a defective one (in wich they need to contact seller before leaving bad reviews) or they were abusing it.....just mt 2 cents!!!! ... show more

    • Very strong odor from the rubber
The construction is what you would expect from a product at this price point. However the odor of the rubber pieces was so surprisingly strong that I had to find another vise. If you use it in an open space like a garage, I don't think it would be a problem. For use in my indoor work room, the smell was really disgusting and unacceptable. After removing it, the room still smells! This is coming from someone who has worked with stinky stuff his entire life, and never complains. ... show more

Some parts of this product feel very solid and others very cheap. Overall, I had to send it back because it didn’t work. The vise didn’t move when the handle was turned. The handle just spun and spun. Perhaps I could have fixed it (sanded down some of the paint maybe?) but I decided in the end to return it and purchase the Dremel multi-vise, since I am using it for a Dremel. ... show more

Great little vice especially for small projects on limited spaces. Only complaint is the bottom clamp of the vice is a round plastic disc... Cheap and lame it will need to be swapped out with a metal one.

This has been one of the most useful tools I've bought in a long time I use it in my leather working it clamps right to my leatherworking desk I can change it out and use my Dremel, with my Dremel attached to the ring that comes with it for ease of use.
