The media could not be loaded. This product comes with everything that is needed for install. Took me about 5 minutes or so. The backplate feels sturdy and the triggers and back buttons fit into it just as intended. The RGB module is a nice touch and it comes with some nice backplates for the rgb module. Along with some blanks so you can customize your own design. If you need help with install, JSAUX has a nice and short video on YouTube that gets straight to the point. This was a super easy install I did not install the RGB board, as I feel it takes away from seeing the internals.

    • Pretty neat
The cover feels nice and works great. I see it has better airflow then the original. The faux battery cover is a nice touch as the Asus battery is pretty ugly. Could do without the RGB, it's very cheesy/tacky.

    • A worthy upgrade
This new back requires some extra work - make sure to follow all the steps! This is perfect for installing the 2280 NVMe L bracket as it doesn’t require removing tabs for it to fit (if you use the original backing you need to cut pieces for the L bracket to fit). The RGB lights on the back are near, but I don’t use it. It would have been cool if they made a mod for an integrated USB C hub with a (working) SD cart slot and extra ports. Either way, I recommend this. It has some extra slots for air flow too, which can slightly reduce temps/increase performance as well. ... show more

    • The bottom edge is sharp…
I used to seat my Ally on my knees while playing so my hands can bear less weight. But I found the bottom of my Ally after using the backplate is a bit sharp and it hurts my knees. Now, I returned to the original backplate and it no longer hurts. The finishing is not so good. The screwdriver although looks good and promising. But the size is indeed not so good for the screws included. My ifixit screwdriver is much better. ... show more

    • Easy install but back button issues
I found it very easy to install this backplate quickly and efficiently. The added RGB light at the back is pretty great, and overall, everything comes together nicely. However, the only issue I have with this backplate is that both back M1 and M2 buttons are now flimsy and looser than I would want. Although I removed the back and checked the screw, it looks like it's just the way it is, and I'm not a big fan of that. Despite this, it's still a great upgrade for your device. ... show more
