I usually don’t write reviews but this is infinitely better than the other options I’ve tried and it’s worth your time and money. So for context I was originally using 2 5000MAH batteries designed for the quest 2 that normally go on the side rail but since the quest 3 didn’t support those, I was using Velcro ties to keep them in the middle of the Kiwi elite strap headband. I absolutely HATED this setup but was too lazy to buy something else. Eventually I caved in and bought this one. I wasn’t too jazzed about the form factor since I hated the idea of having batteries so close to my chest but they wound up being barely noticeable in practice. For my use case they lasted about 5 hours while playing VRchat on virtual desktop on the low streaming settings so your mileage may vary and you may want a second one if you want to run at at a higher preset.. The cable is slightly noticeable at first when plugged in but it doesn’t pull down on the quest at all so it’s good for high motion stuff as well. When actually using it I barely noticed either the cable or the battery pack which is everything to look for with this kind of design. Overall it’s a great value backed by a reliable brand when you consider how bad the quest battery is without it. Does exactly what you need it to do, extend meta game time, this was even able to charge the headset while actively playing a game on it, most I've tried will just hold the power at the level it's being used, I'm not sure if this is a positive or a negative but it's been my experience. Overall fantastic value here I personally like the way the straps that come with the meta work I have tried halo style straps on the psvr2, the rift 2 and some windows mixed reality headsets back in the day and could never get used to the pressure on the back of my head. This is just what I wanted. After I play Beat Saber on my Quest 2 I like to browse in other apps but would have to quit in the middle of things when my battery was low. First impressions, looks slightly dirty on the gaps. It possible that it was dropped. Also after plugging it for the first time it makes the buzzing noise. Not a fan of the product buzzing and getting scratches. :( UPDATE: I contacted customer support through their website. I showed and explain the problem was about they were kind and genuine to give me a replacement. Took three days tops to deliver. My first impressions of the new one they sent me is clean looking, no scratche or grazes on surface of the plastic. I did some tests while using my Quest 3. It definitely wasn't being buzzing anymore and it's pretty solid. Customer Support gets 5/5 and the new replacements gets 5/5. I didn't need to return the first neck battery bank product. This battery pack is great. It extends my Quest 3 playing time by at least 3 hours. Maybe more. I haven't run out of power yet so I'm not sure how much longer it lasts. This is a must have as the battery on the Quest 3 doesn't last any longer than the one on my Quest 2. Of course I use it on the highest resolution and gaming setting for the ultimate experience. This is a must have. The only problem I had is getting the cord in the correct position so it didn't tickle my face or ear. I guess as I use it will be less stiff and just hang down out of the way.
