    • A poorly made toy
This is junk. The action is so high that when you fret above the the first few frets the notes are a semi-tone too high, which makes it unplayable. If you have a chord spanning more than four frets the notes will all be out of tune relative to each other. The tuning machine sleeves do not fit properly and are so loose they fall out, or when strung, creep up out of the headstock while playing. I just bought the Donner tenor uke, and what a difference a few extra dollars make - excellent build quality, sound and action. I expected the Joy to be a bit rough but thought it might make a fun project to mod and upgrade, but no, this thing is irredeemable and so it's back to the warehouse - or landfill - with you! ... show more
