I bought these to go along with a costume for Halloween, but have continued to wear them from time to time. Typically when it is raining and the yard gets muddy. They are a nice pair of boots and I don't typically wear boots because I don't feel they are comfortable. These are pretty comfortable.

..::: UPDATE :::.. After 3 months, I'll confidently say these are great boot that's worth the salt. They're quite comfy to wear and walk around in all day once U put some supportive gel insoles in them; I needed that. I work in them often and I wear them recreationally, and they hold up just fine throughout. They are easy to clean as well, plus the material of the boot doesn't wither or peel easily. Aside from needing to add insoles, these are an excellent purchase. 11-04-24 ________________________________________ Great product! I definitely appreciate the fit; it's easy to put on and true to size. I wish the soles were more supportive and comfortable, I gave 4 stars because of that. However, I don't mind how they feel too much while walking and standing in them; I'll be adding supportive in-soles for my benefit. My plantar fascia tendons have seen better days. Anyway, The boots are sturdy enough to manage some hard work which could cause wear and tear, they're good-looking and easy to clean as well. So far, I'd say these boots are worth their salt... When looking at these, I was nervous that they'd arrive and be poor quality, but I was genuinely pleasantly surprised when unpacking these boots. The material feels great, and the soles are thick. The ankle seems to have a decent amount of padding to keep these from chafing. Time will tell how well these hold up, but for now I am very, very happy with them. You can tell they're not real leather by feeling them, but as I'm not in the habit of having people feel my shoes, it's not terribly concerning. ... show more

2/27/2024 - I recently acquired the Jousen Men's Casual Boots to meet the requirement of obtaining brown leather boots for my new role as a National Park Service Ranger here in Washington D.C. The recommended boots by the service came with a hefty price tag of almost $200, so opting for these boots allowed me to allocate more of my pre-set uniform allowance towards heavier winter jackets. Despite my initial hesitation, my supervisor not only refrained from criticizing my choice but also complimented me on it. This positive feedback has reassured me about my decision. About a year ago I bought my first pair of mid-height boots from this company on Amazon. The first pair were great, a lighter shade of brown, but after 6 months of everyday wear the zipper on them broke. I thought “oh well”, and bought another pair (darker brown) and thought i’d have them longer. Well, I ordered these in August and they started falling apart around 2 months ago (late September). My work and everyday life environment is not rough by any means. The leather began to peel on these, and the soles are starting to tear apart on both. It saddens me to write a review because initially after buying both pairs, the felt comfortable and received a lot of compliments. Unless there was a way to contact the company for help, I don’t believe i’ll be receiving money back or a replacement pair. I guess I should have known to invest more money towards my feet, especially for everyday wear. For anyone looking to buy a pair of good boots, spend the extra money and buy something that will last. These have great potential, but unfortunately they did not meet it with the last two purchases. Maybe it was just my luck of the drawl on these two pairs. ... show more

Here me out on this because this a crazy rollercoaster of a story. I purchased these boots and they arrived the next day. (Already starting out at 5 star ). And so I decide to wear these boots the next day to work on March 19th. The day seems as normal as possible as I am headed to work. THEN BAMM!! I get rear ended by a car at the entrance of my job. First time I experienced this, I was very nervous while solving the entire situation. HOWEVER!! Although I was going through a crazy moment, every time I look down a saw the boots I would feel a level of confidence and composer. Such a feeling would allow me to continue handling the situation. WHICH I DID! Over all these boots look and feel got. I recommend buying these if your looking for a boost in your fit attire and over all confidence. I am also a photographer and video editor so I might just make products for this company!!! ... show more
