We purchased this to give us another option for family fun time. Our dining table is 84" x 44" and an inch thick. We pull the chairs away and attach the net across the middle and let the games begin. The net is retractable and held to the table with spring tensioners build into the ends. They have been sturdy enough for us so far. The paddles that came with it are pretty basic. We did but a pair of better paddles for more grip and then it is up to the player to decide which they prefer. Normally we can play for 2-3 hours keeping our 11 and 13 year olds absolutely in the zone. I can say it brings back many memories of middle and high school PE class and playing ping pong 🏓. We be ping ponging! This fit easily on our dining room table even though our table has a very deep lip and oddly shaped lip. Folks who complained that the net height was not standard and got in the way of play confuse me. We are not competitive table tennis players and know nothing about standard play, but we find nothing wrong with the net height. We just learned to play with what we have. Another reviewer recommended the orange balls, and we have found that those balls work well with our table, not bounding too wildly. We ordered this net along with the Pro-Spin Ping Pong Paddles set of 4 paddles, which has several orange and also the white balls. This is an excellent combo. This is a solid product. The only thing that stopped me from rating it a 5 was the fact the sides lean in when attached to table and hang over the table. However, the price is great for this product and we have been happy with the product.
