  • Solid table at a solid price
Color: Blue
Though I only recently purchased this table, my family and I have already logged a lot of hours on it - enough so that I feel I can safely review it. Most of the 5 minutes of setup time was in unpacking the box and discarding the materials. It really was a snap. It consists of two large, heavy card tables placed end to end, with a net between them. Simply unfold the legs, position the tables, then attach the net. Initially, the table legs seemed a bit wobbly even when locked, but once I had adjusted the feet to make each side level, then attached the net - effectively clamping the tables together, it suddenly felt and played like the legit table that it is. I believe the weight of the table top helps this as well. It really is a solid unit. And I find it to be the perfect size for indoors: not too small that you can't hit the ball onto the playing surface, but not too large that you can't comfortably maneuver to reach your shots. That said, I'd suggest to the manufacturer to look at improving the locking mechanisms on the legs so that they are more rigid and lock into place with a bit more authority. I'd also suggest considering latches of some sort to help join the two tables together - maybe something like the latches used for table leaves - so that it's not dependent on the net clamps. Overall, I'm very satisfied though! Will update this if anything changes. ... show more

  • It does the job
Color: Blue
Great little table, exactly what we were looking for. Only complaint, it did arrive damaged. Disappointed, but it was a good deal so you get what you pay for I guess. Some slight cosmetic issues. It seems a big fragile but not planning on moving it around a lot so it'll be fine.

  • LOVE our JOOLA Midsize Ping Pong Table!
Color: Blue
I have enjoyed Table Tennis since age 6 or 7. I always played on a full-size table. My wife and I (soon to be 68) haven't owned our own table for over 25 years and recently moved into a smaller home that has no room for a full-size ping pong table so we took a chance with this JOOLA Midsize and, within minutes, had it standing firmly on a carpeted floor in our basement family room where we have plenty of space all around it to play a lively game and get a good workout to boot. It arrived a week ago and we haven't been able to stop playing on it since. I am amazed at how quickly both my wife and I adjusted our playing styles to this smaller table. We absolutely love it and can't wait to teach our two grandkids (ages 5 and 8) to learn the game. It's perfect for young and old. Assembly was easy: Remove from box, open the attached legs of each half table, place two half tables together where you want to play, attach the net. That's it! I think it is very well made and attractive, quite solid and sturdy, with easy storage if taken apart and legs folded back under each half table. There are no wheels under the legs but, as the table is not too heavy, it can be easily shifted around on the floor, if necessary, with little effort by either one or two people. If I'm not mistaken, this JOOLA table is the same brand that the middle school where I taught for 34 years had ten of these in its cafeteria for use before and after school and also in the gym when the PE teacher used them for a couple of weeks each semester. I really can't fault this ping pong table in any way. Eventually we will buy a full-size JOOLA outdoor table to use in our garage, but, until we do, I think this midsize table is giving us almost all the same pleasure and exercise that a full-size table would give us. It will be interesting to see how we adjust our playing styles to the full-size after spending a few months improving our playing skills at ping pong on just this midsize table, but, as variety is the spice of life, I think it will be great fun to be able to play on either table, as we so choose, when the time comes. You won't regret buying this JOOLA midsize table tennis table and I recommend it highly and with no reservations. The price is right also. We expect to pay around $600 for the full-size table when we get around to ordering it, so the $154 we paid for this one doesn't seem unreasonable at all. If you wait a while, you might even find it for less. We weren't willing to wait for a sale price and I'm glad we didn't. Every day now I can't wait to hear my wife say the words, "Anyone for a game of ping pong?" Unless I say it first!! ... show more

  • Pretty good table
Color: Blue
I bought this table for a small apartment, and like some of the other reviewers, I was a little surprised at how small it is. But it's the right height, the surface is excellent (though it does mark easily), and it fits very neatly into my room - in fact, I will be leaving it up rather than folding it away after use as I had expected to have to do. We've already had a lot of games on it, and it's a great addition to our home. The quality of the table top, the clamps and the net are good, though there were a few small dents and scratches on the sides of the table on arrival. The table comes in two pieces, i.e. two separate tables. When you place them together, they don't meet very well, but the clamps for the net are surprisingly excellent at positioning and holding the two tables in place (though this design is a bit too delicate for moving the table around much once erected - the two tables risk coming apart when I pull it out from the wall for instance). The net itself is sturdy, looks good, and slips easily onto its holders. The main problem I have with the two tables is the folding legs, which look and feel as though they ought to click into position, but somehow do not. Instead they seem precariously up, and I have the ongoing fear that they will collapse if I put any pressure on the table as they are not locked/held into position. And in fact the hinges seem a little bent. Nothing's happened yet, but I suspect it will, and I'm not sure whether it's defective or a design flaw. ... show more
