About 3 cents a plate more than I usually pay, but I didn't have to drive etc. to get them. The size is good and the rims are probably a bit better than average. Not sure how they hold up to watery conditions prevalent in some foods but so far so good. Most of these types of paper plates are generally bio-degradable over time, if they aren't plastic coated --->so no big deal there. Yeah, if you live in a rural area like I do buy them. Did not see a 500 plate quantity to order, when I re-order, hopefully there will be. ... show more

I was skeptical that these would be sturdy enough. But they ARE. They have a high rim, too, so my food doesn’t slide off. After use, I rinse them off and put them in the compost bin. Perfect.
