This was such a unique little building project, and a weird one at that, but it’s exactly the kind of weird thing I love. I’m used to legos, so the instructions here were a bit off if you’re used to other building block sets, but the concept and design were too cool to resist. Only took about one and a half hours, and looks great as a display piece. This was a fun build with quality pieces. The one problem I had with it was that despite have two bags of completely extra pieces I was still missing two pieces, but the pieces were small and nonessential so it doesn't harm the build.

    • Such a cool set
My main issue with many sets is how repetitive they can be. You have to repeat the same steps with the same pieces 4 or 5 times and even when your not the general process feels very similar across different sets. This is the complete opposite, it uses every type of piece you could imagine and you are almost never using two of the same pieces back to back. Honestly, through half of the build process I was confused on how it was going to turn into a finished product because it just seemed like a giant block of random pieces thrown together. But slowly everything starts coming together and you have a beautiful end product. Another area that I see a lot of building sets like this struggle is in the instructions. Many combine way too many steps into one. make images really small or just have bad models so it's hard to tell what's happening. This set had none of those issues, I was easily able to tell exactly what pieces were needed and where pieces went. They outlines areas where new pieces were added and gave lines to indicate how they were lined up which was really useful. I did have one issue with the set, it seems like they intended to split parts into separate bags based on when they are used. The issue is that all the bags are labeled as 1 so you have to dump everything into a giant pile. Because there are so many different types of pieces and there is only 1 or 2 of that piece in the entire set, finding pieces is very difficult. Personally I recommend sorting by color especially because some of the colors are very similar and in the instructions they look almost identical so it's easy to get them mixed up. Overall, the build process and end product were both great, there were no parts where I felt frustrated and the final product proudly sits near the front of my model collection. These biological/mechanical hybrid sets are some of my favorite current builds. This one was really fun to build, nothing significantly challenging but does require some dexterity.

I have an animal and lego lover in my home. So for her birthday I thought she might enjoy this. Man was I right. She completed it in one sitting and proudly has it displayed on our console table downstairs. 10/10 would recommend.
