I picked this up for an old XR600R that I've been working on recently, I've re-built the whole bike, and was missing the original headlight. I didn't keep it all original, so I jumped at the chance to try out this slightly more modern looking light for the price. (Currently about $27 on Prime) I really didn't expect it to be half as nice as it is at this price point. It fits very nicely on the bike, both in physical mounting and styling. Of course the wiring didn't match my old XR, but that was a 10 minute task to change the plug. I just wired in the high beam since my bike isn't set up for high/low beam. The stock bulb was 35W, same as this, so it works out well! The light includes some little plastic spacer pieces that can be used to push the light farther out form the bike, which is nice because I did need those. Without them the rubber "boot" covering the back of the bulb hit the neck on the frame. I added the spacers and it fits nicely, and fits the lines of the bike better too. If you intend to use those spacers, do yourself a favor and pick up some nylock nuts for the bolts. The ones they included are not locking, and I didn't like the idea of cranking them down tight enough to stay on there and crushing the plastic in the process. The bolts are a common metric M6 thread. I used them, and the washers that were included, just with the locking nuts. I've yet to try it at night, so I can't say how bright the light is (or isnt), but worst case I'll throw in a LED bulb and wire in a rectifier so it works with my bikes A/C lighting coil.     • Very versatile
I put this on my Yamaha TTR 225 and it looks great, however for my application a little mechanical ability is necessary. The included rubber installation straps will work for most applications,with a few minor nuts bolts etc from the hardware store I was able to achieve a very solid mount, the light seems to be pretty solid and good quality, however the one I received had a few waves in the plastic that were a little noticeable, this appears to be where the light was taken out of the mold while still hot most likely causing the slight waves in the plastic, probably just the one I received but it's not bad enough to return it, overall I'm pretty satisfied the mold affect was the only reason I didn't give it five stars ... show more

Got my headlight alot faster than expected .....however it was scratched and has damage and not from being inside the package....missing screw white marks on plastics and wires spliced looks like someone already failed an install and returned it ....they just shipped it to the next person without inspection. Didnt expect anything special because of price but come on now. ... show more

Works well enough. Great value for the money. Only flaw is that the brackets that hold the rubber rings to the housing are pretty flimsy and mine cracked slightly during install. The light and mounts still did their job well enough for a dirt bike though. The light looks fantastic on the bike. Cant give more stars due to the flimsy cracked brackets ... show more
