I already had an LED replacement bulb in the original housing. It did a better job than the factory bulb, but threw an odd light pattern. I wasn’t going to spend $450 on Harley’s day maker, so I figured I’d give this a try before trying a different brand that I had in mind. I’m completely impressed by the light it puts out. I ride at night pretty often. It throws a nice wide, even pattern with good distance. This one light is brighter than my both of my SUV halogen headlights combined! And yes, the high beam does make a difference. It doesn’t light the sides up any wider, it shoots straight ahead & it shoots far. I ride a lot of dark roads & this light definitely gives me more confidence. I don’t understand the reviews that mention “I thought it would be brighter” or “the high beam makes little difference”. Maybe their headlight aim isn’t adjusted properly or the company has made improvements on the light since?…or maybe they just haven’t gone down really dark roads? Regardless, I know that I’m completely satisfied, especially at this price point! It’s a perfect fit in my 2012 Wide Glide. ***One word of caution though*** The only down side about this light is that it does throw a BCM code (red speedo light) 2136 “low beam output open”. I had to purchase a headlight decoder, which you can find pretty cheap here on Amazon & install it. Just be sure to get one with the H4 plug & the smaller the dimensions…the better, so it fits in the housing easier. It’s a pretty tight fit, but I got mine in without much of a fight. It removed red light, then I cleared the code & it hasn’t returned…🤞 ... show more

A lot of reviews show what the light looks like on a bike or the beam pointed at a wall 5 feet away and you just dont get a good sense of the beam pattern or how well it lights up in front of you. Which is what i wanted to know and just took a chance on. Fortunatly i was pleasantly surprised at how much this lights up. I dont have pics comparing stock to this light because my bike had a cheap led on it when i bought it. But i'm satisfied how much this lights up things in front of me while riding. When you get away from urban areas and overhead lighting it really becomes apparent how well this works. Its a nice bright white light. In the pics it looks like all the light is pushed further out in front of you but while riding i have no problems seeing things closer to the front tire either. Daytime riding, it also makes the bike more noticeable to people in front of you. It installed easily and i havent had any issues with overheating or condensation. No flickering. Its definitely a big improvement for very little money and i'd buy it again. ... show more

Good design, low price (it is a Chinese product), fits inside the very small 2001 Sportster headlight bucket. It is a tight fit due to the heat sinks on the rear of light, but it fits when you position the various connectors and wires around the heat sinks. I particularly like the low beam pattern. It is low and wide--very nice for riding in the twisty canyon roads as it gives you a view wide enough to see the upcoming curve even though the headlight is not pointed directly at it. The high beam appears to just be two additional "spots" that join the low beam. The fact the low beam is 30 watts and high beam is 45 watts probably supports this observation. It is a good long-throw high beam, though. Overall, the light is bright/bluish white, makes objects stand out. The low beam is wider, the high beam is much longer, and the 6K-6.5K coloring just makes things "pop." I just installed it last weekend so I cannot speak to the longevity. Given the lower wattage draw and the extensive heat sinking, it should be designed for longevity if the individual components hold up. The solid mount Sportster tends to vibrate parts, and that vibration is hard on incandescent light bulb filaments. This LED light should be much more resistant to vibrations (e.g., no loose bulbs in sockets to vibrate, no fragile filaments to vibrate, etc.). It is not the prettiest light, and contrasts somewhat with the "classic" look of the Sportster, but I bought the black version and it does not draw too much attention to itself. ... show more
