I've been using TIP and ACL Sandy Jet for 50 years, they have priced me out of using them, I'm not spending $10 a piece for a nozzle. (the price increased $10 a package from 2021 to 2022 at northern tool) So I got this to try. It doesn't seem as accurate as the other's I have, in that it's more like a shot gun vs a rifle with the way the sand exits. Probably the length of the nozzle is to blame. I'd venture it may waste some sand, but it works well. My only complaint thus far is the hose is pitifully short as you can see in the picture. You can't move a foot away from your work without the tube coming out of the sand. That is easily solved with a longer piece of hose. I used the 13/64 nozzle and my 5hp compressor would shut off shortly after I stopped blasting, so I could blast all day and not have problems with air volume. ... show more

Gun itself is good quality, although the package did not contain two of the four nozzles. Only had one steel, one ceramic. The package didn't even have a place for two of the nozzles so it's not like it fell out or anything. Only gave two stars due to inaccurate description and pictures.

First time i used this it was terrible. What you need to do to make this work is 2 things 1. Replace the hose with a 1/2” automotive hose. The hose they supply is weak and has kinks and gets clogged 2. Run a water separator beneath the gun otherwise whatever moisture is in your compressor (and there is trust me) will cake up the media and clog the gun After I changed this it worked well. Had a HF sand blast cabinet. Cabinet good but the gun was awful. It would barely blow and plugged constantly. Tried this from other reviews. It worked great sucked up sand and blasted well. Another nice feature is the nozzle is easily replaced without tools. Simply unscrew the collar and replace it. Packaging is minimal but the product is well made. Smooth, no casting burrs. Squeeze the pickup hose to get kinks out. Would recommend this product. Update. The gun is still working well. Sometimes the media will not flow down to the suction intake. Simple fix to push it back down. This is a minor criticism of the case not the gun. Still recommend it . ... show more

Have a Harbor Freight sandblast cabinet. Replaced the Harbor Freight gun with this, 100% better. We've used this with different media and it's worked well with all of them.

I have tried several sand blaster guns. This product revolutionized my blast cabinet. It comes with a self feeding pickup tube that when stuck in the media self feeds at the correct rate. It also digs down into the media when using. I also like that the gun comes with 6 different nozzels that are easily interchangable with different size orifices. Pros: -Cheap -Comes with quick connect -Uses less CFM than a lot of the other blasters in this price range -feeds most media up to about 80 grit easily Cons: -As others have said, the siphon tube is crap. It's short and kinks up too easily. It's 1/2" ID so you can find replacement/upgrade pretty easily at most big box stores for around 50 cents a foot. -I tried all the different nozzles but it just won't work with soda. The highest grit I could feed was 80 grit. Worked with both aluminum oxide and walnut shells - but soda just came out looking like a vape pen. -no instructions and the nozzles aren't labeled with their sizes You'll definitely want an inline dryer if you're using a compressor. I forgot to hook mine up at first and immediately clogged the nozzle with mud. ... show more
