  • Amazing router lift !!
Style: Ring Kit
Built myself an outfeed/assembly table with T-track all over it and decided that I needed a router lift in one end of the table that can drop out of the way when I was assembling things and stuff. This lift by JessEm is really nice and easy to use. Now, installing it into a blank table with no hole already cut is a little challenging if you aren't up to it but if you can make yourself a template then you can get it done easily enough. You can purchase templates online but they are expensive and really a one use item unless you decide to make a new bench later on and want to move your lift. So, just make your own template, there are plenty of videos out there that show you how to do it and how to install the lift as well. I have an older Craftsman router that I'm using in it and it holds solid with no slipping issues. I can leave a bit in the router and drop it all below the surface of my work table and then just bring it up when I'm ready to use it. It locks in place simply and I've not seen any movement once it's locked. It will raise up high enough to access the spindle lock and collet nut for changing bits. And finally it just looks really nice. JessEm makes a quality product and you will have to pay for it. But in my personal opinion, it is well worth it if you spend any amount of time with your router table. ... show more

  • Saved $300 over a SawStop Router Lift
Style: Ring Kit
I could not find anywhere that this JessEm 02310 Rout-R-Lift II Router Lift would fit in or work with my SawStop cast iron router table (RT-TGP). I just bought it and said I'd make it work. The JessEM fits the Router table hole exactly but the mounting bolt holes do not line up at all. I was going to make brackets and do all that when I said I was just going to drill 2 new holes in the JessEM Base. Set the JessEM lift in the Router Table hole as it should be. From underneath drill up with a very small 1/8" but through the center of the cast iron Mounting holes on each side. These are the mounting holes that you would normally mount the SawStop Lift to. They are the Center holes on the left and right of the SawStop router table if you are standing at the end of the Router Table facing the saw blade. I have one pic with a screw in one of the holes that you will use. Drill just enough to mark the JessEM where you want to put the new mounting holes. Take out the JessEM and finish drilling all the way through to the front (yes you are drilling from the back side of the JessEM) with the 1/8" bit. I laid the JessEM over the hole in the Router table to do this instead of raising it on blocks. Turn over the JessEM and lay it in the Router table hole and drill the mounting holes from the front side. I used a bit just slightly larger than 1/4" so it would give some wiggle room. Now use a countersink and drill it deep enough so that the mounting screw rests below the surface plane of the JessEM. The SawStop router table has Leveling screws that come up from the bottom - use 2 of these as your JesssEM mounting screws. I did not put the SawStop leveling screws in the center left and right holes, but I did in the other holes that go around the base of the lift just because. The JessEM comes with It's own set screws to Level the JessEM from the top so use those to level the face plate of the JessEM. This leaves the large corner holes on the JessEM face where I suspect are the intended Mounting holes open. I did not like that. These holes are partially blocked by the Cast Iron recessed Plate on the SawStop router table. Rather that cut and grind the table away All I did was cut the mounting screws that came with the JessEM to a 1/4" in length, put glue on the edges that touch the surface of the JessEM and drop them in the corner holes. They cover the holes and are purely cosmetic (they will help with vacuum air leak) and no one will know but ppl that read this. The hard part about making this work was coming up with the idea to make it simple and easy to adapt the JessEM to the SawStop. Good Luck. I hope this helps. ... show more

  • Love it.
Style: Ring Kit
Going from an old porter cable bench table to this was like going from a bicycle to truck with power windows and 4 wheel drive.

  • Great Lift
Style: Ring Kit
JessEm lift is great, super handy instead of getting under table to adjust. If you can swing the price it will save you time and hassle. I am very pleased with it.

  • Good lift but hex key to raise/lower doesn’t fit!
Style: Ring Kit
The router lift works as advertised. Installation was straight forward. The ability to micro adjust the bit height from the top is so nice. The problem is that the hex key crank to raise and lower the router will not fit in the slot. It is the wrong size hex. I see from other reviews that this is a common problem. This seems like an odd problem that would have an easy fix. I have resorted to a standard hex key but it is shorter and not as useful as the supplied hex key crank could have been. ... show more

  • Awesome Lift
Style: Ring Kit
I use a island countertop for my router table. I first turned the lift upside down & using the four(4) mounting holes I screwed it to the table, this would also leave me locations for mounting t-nuts under the table later. I clamped a frame around the lift plate, this leaves me with the exact shape I need to rout out for the lift. Remove the lift from the table. Next, I made a 3/4" frame to fit inside of the frame I have clamped. Using a pattern bit & following the insert frame I routed out the counter top all the way through. This leaves me with a hole big enough to drop the router lift in place. My next step is to remove the insert from the frame. This leaves me with 3/4" of material for the lift plate to sit on. I set my pattern bit in the router to a depth equal to the thickness of the router plate and removed the remaining material. This left the plate flat and flush with the top. Drilled the four (4) mounting holes, insert t-nuts, drop in the lift with the router attached & secure all the screws. The lift is awesome. ... show more

  • All good, but they sent the wrong adjustment lever
Style: Ring Kit
This is easy to use and set up. I am liking it. But they sent the wrong adjustment lever/wrench to raise and lower the router. It is too big and doest fit. And I am unable to reach customer service about it. Otherwise it would be 5 stars all around. Im very irritated about that. Edit: changed from 4 to 5 stars. The adjustment lever works, its just very tight and needed some sanding to fit snug. Still no issues with it. Very easy to remove and reinstall the router when i need to. I got the extra throat plates, honestly think i could have done without them though. ... show more
