It turns out they are just bumps of the same plastic the case is made of. No chance of any falling out, leaving the case with an unflattering look. So adorable, cracked my phone when I barely dropped it. The jewels fell off easy. For reference I had a broken 8 dollar case on my phone and dropped it on the mf ocean and it was fine. But with this case I dropped it from 2ft and that bitch broke😭😂
