Holy smokes!! The Elephant is even more amazing than the photo and description. And is the real deal. Not a knockoff. This Elephant is over the top one of the most amazing Jellycat's I've ever had the pleasure to own. Very-very squishy overall (unlike my 22" gray "Jellycat" Bunny which may be a knockoff :/). This elephant's amazingly ultra soft fabric is amazingly luxurious in every way imaginable, and large! Did I mention she was amazing?! I'm so glad the Jellycat company has this size 21"-22" option. I wish Amazon had more 'species' of Jellycat to choose from as well. (I wish they had a realistic bullfrog! hint-hint) From now on, when I think of a Jellycat, I'll be thinking of my "Jellyphunt." The faux fur fabric reminds me of my past-on pet chinchilla. It's truly incredible that they can make a fabric this soft. I wish Jellycat would use this fabric on their entire line. The color of this Elephant is a warm gray-gray beige, which adds to 'her' charms and allure. It's impossible to put her down! I took 1 photo with the flash, and 2 without, in natural light. Items in pix for size ref.. As an adult, I have several Jellycat plush, in several colors and sizes. Cat. Dog. Duck. Toad. A few Bunnies. But this Elephant is by far the softest of them all. And it can truly lie down! Unlike most Jellycat plush, where the belly is too rolly-poley to actually lie down, where as this elephant can. It's so endearing! And she's perfectly stuffed, she has room to be posed. All 4 of her feet are lightly weighted, and her ears are gently stuffed and floppy - just like the rest of her body. OKay so I've had a few other JellyCat's before, but I swear the elephant is the SOFTEST one of them all. Its almost so soft it doesn't even feel like you're touching anything. He is so cuddly and his face is adorable it's absolutely perfect (just a TAD too expensive). We actually bought the smaller size first to give as a baby shower gift, but upon feeling the softness, decided to keep it for myself and order the larger size, hah! So having seen both sizes, the smaller one definitely "sits" better than the larger. You can still make the larger one "sit", but he slouches just a little bit.     • So soft! Almost perfect except...
for hole in side of the elephant. I was thrilled with my purchase. Its the perfect size and so, so soft. So imagine my dismay when I found a hole in its side. I purchased this to comfort me after a recent death in the family so I don't want to send it back. But for $60 there should not be a single thing wrong. Not sure I would spend this much money again on a Jellycat animal (especially since others have also received theirs with a hole in it). 5 stars for how soft & cuddly it is. But had to give it 4 stars because of the hole. ... show more

We are a jellycat family. When I first saw Smudge, I knew that my daughter had to have this stuffed animal. Smudge is about the softest stuffed animal we have ever felt and the elephant’s legs are sooo floppy, it’s like the elephant is giving a giant hug when you pick it up. You cannot go wrong with this stuffed animal. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the deep gray color (instead of a more fun color for kids) but it totally works. ... show more

This was the softest stuffed animal I’ve ever felt. Made very well. The beads inside are made to distribute the weight so it’s pleasant to hold. It’s sewn to look adorable laid out on its tummy and sitting up. Was a gift, I want one for myself now.

This elephant is SO soft and cuddly that I am tempted to keep it myself rather than give it to my grandson for his second birthday!! It’s just adorable. It can be made to sit up, or it can lie down on its tummy. Probably the softest stuffed animal I’ve ever seen. Love it, and I know he will, too.

I am 29 and in grad school and this is now my comfort object to sleep with because I am crazy stressed. Things shouldn't be allowed to be this soft ... it melts my heart. Also, this elephant can lay on its stomach or sit up on its bum, which is ridiculous and cute. You won't be disappointed no matter your age :) P.S. - the elephant is a lot larger than it seems in the photo. ... show more
