The fit and length is as expected for typical lifting shorts. I really do like them but they're a bit too "flattering" in the crotch area to wear in certain settings. I think I'll mostly wear them around the house or to the store, but in the gym doing legs and with a pump.... they're a bit too tight. I don't know if a large would fix the "issue". I'm 5' 8" and 200 lbs (solid). For guys under 5' 11", it's hard to find shorts that don't make you look shorter than you are and they typically don't accentuate your legs. These shorts, with a 3" inseam, are fantastic! They fit well (even after multiple washings), the pockets are perfect for a wallet, keys, or a phone (not for a tablet-sized phone), and they feel good; hugging your butt and thighs in all the right ways. Because they fit so well, I ordered 2 more pair (one 3" inseam and one 5" inseam, for comparison). Unless the stitching or fabric just fall apart, I'll buy extras to have on-hand. ... show more

The were not to small and they were extremely comforable. Most shorts from online seem to be to small. These feel great and fit great.
