For the most part, I'm a bit of an impulse buyer for things I really enjoy. That being said, I'd been in the market for an affordable yet quality tenor sax. I'd been eying the Cannonball 25th Anniversary tenor and alto for a long time, but they were more than I wanted to spend, seeing as how I'm just getting back to playing after thirty-plus years and very rusty. Then I saw the Jean Paul TS660 and thought to myself, why not? I pulled the trigger and placed the order. The next day, I was back on the fence after seeing a Yani WO-32. Once the Jean Paul arrived, I was instantly blown away by the craftsmanship and, ultimately, the sound after adding my setup. I hadn't noticed that this one was an intermediate that had been outfitted to professional specs by one of Jean Paul's techs. Now I'm grinning from ear to ear. This baby sings! I need a cigarette... I don't even smoke! LOL!! A professional-level tenor for the price of an intermediate is a pretty good deal! ... show more
