Great sound quality as it is well balanced. Great bass. Aesthetics make it look more premium. Could be a little louder but more than meets what is necessary. Noise cancellation is quite great and I was impressed how much it helps during a flight. You can use noise cancelling while watching a movie on the plane too. Definitely not first place but I imagine its second place in noise cancellation compared to the more expensive Sony XM4. Delivery and packaging was good. Easy to use controls but takes a little practice. Sound detail is great for a closed-back headphone. NC is good... App works OK to see battery level, etc. I bought on sale. Battery life is great. Very light for long wearing but being closed back will get a little hot on the ears and feels some clamping after awhile. I don’t know that I would have paid the full asking price (I had a $100 discount), but, these really are pretty good headphones. It effectively cancels out most everyday noises. It even drowns out the sound of snoring. The quality is surprisingly great, even for Bluetooth headphones. I have had no complaints about voice quality. I like that it can connect to multiple devices simultaneously. I can have my ringer turned up on my work phone and also listen to music on my PC. It automatically pauses the music when I get a call. These sound great and are really comfortable. However, whenever I'm listening to music I get these small breaks in the music every few minutes. Often more than once in a 3 minute song. It's horrible. I called support and was told I was experiencing blue tooth interference and I should just turn off all other bluetooth devices in the area. WTF? My TV? My refrigerator? My computer mouse? My apple watch? How can i turn off all the bluetooth devices when I'm in a crowded cafe and everyone around me is using their bluetooth devices. It's crazy and support was NO help. To start, the case that comes with these headphones is very nice! I was excited to use my new tour ones. The headphones feel very premium, nice cushy memory foam ear pads, and a soft crown cushion. Comes with all the wires you need, charging usb-c cable, 3mm connector and even an airplane jack adaptor. I downloaded the JBL app, and noticed the headphones were only at 10% battery not important. I tossed them on the charger and started going through setup on the app, piece of cake, also nice to choose and setup your voice assistant, I chose google just because my phone, and watch already are using google assistant but Alexa is there also. The app did only came with 3 preset (jazz, vocal and bass) equalizer options; however, you could adjust manually to suit your needs. It was a bit disappointing that I could not listen to the headphones while they were charging, so I took them off the charger and started the long-awaited play test. I put the headphones on, they were very comfortable, I was quite surprised, I am a big guy with a big head. They paired up super easy, and I was ready to go! Ok.. Ok… they sound pretty good, a bit off in neutral or flat mode for me, seemed like I needed to tweak the highs just a bit. I mess with the only 3 presents and find Jazz mode to suit my sound needs, Hey, these things sound pretty good! I mean the bass was a bit week (I have a pair of 8-year-old AKG Y50’s and they are crushing these), so the tinkering begins. I try messing with the bass, meh, it’s gets to an “ok” level so running through some music, 80’s, adult alternative, country, rap… all sound pretty good! Now… let’s jam! Huh? Wait, what? They were already on MAX volume?? Really? The max was about ½ of any of my average headphones from cheap ones to nice ones? This can’t be, a button I forgot to push, a setting in the app, something, I mean, these are $300 headphones. I immediately notice the firmware is out of date from the app, so I go for the update, but I can’t because the headphones must be at least 50% before it will allow the update, so I plug in and wait. I just gave them about an hour, which is eternity when you are eagerly waiting to play with your new toys! Finally, at 50% battery, update commencing.. after about 8 minutes or so, all done! Hey nice! I now have a few more preset EQ functions (Club and Studio), sweet! I tinker with them but still find the Jazz being closest to my style, and even that was with a few manual tweaks. I was really hoping this would fix the volume issue, I believe the bass sounded a bit better, previously it was very punchy now I hear a bit of follow through reverberation on lower notes. The ANC (noise cancellation seemed pretty good to me, I noticed I could not hear much around me while listening on a reasonable volume level. I guess the logic is if you cancel ambient noise you don’t have to turn the volume up as much to drown it out. I even had my fuddy-duddy wife put these on and I asked her to turn it up to where it was her “rock out” level and even she was very surprised, in fact she said, I should return them knowing I would not be happy, they were just too quiet. I was snookered at the “great” deal they had on these! I mean a $300 set of headphones for $150 heck ya! Well, now I know why. It’s said too because I have JBL flip 5 and JBL charge 5 and LOVE LOVE LOVE them both! So how in the world could I go wrong with these? Look, if you are going to listen at a moderate level, (no grass cutting, airplane flying) maybe an audio book, or to sit on the couch and have a decompress moment then these would be fine (after some eq tinkering that is). They will drown out the tv and the kids running around. But, if you are going to rock out, and listen to a wide range of music, you may want to look elsewhere. They are getting packed up now and heading back to Amazon. And so, my journey to find new, nice headphones continues! ☹ #sadjblday ... show more

The headphones are really good I loved the noice canceling, the ambient aware mode and I've been using them for a month now and I still have 80 percent battery left. They also have a very premium feel. The only down part is that the app doesn't work at least on Android, it says that I have two headphones connected and this is my first and only JBL headphones, I tried restarting them, restarting the app and even downloaded an APK and the app never worked sow if someone knows how to fix it pls tell me ... show more
