  • Beat out Bose, Apple and Sennheiser hands down. Best buds out there!
Ok I'm somewhat of an audiophile and headphone connoisseur. I am not one of those people who buys a certain brand just because they love that brand. For example, I am an "Apple" person, but I don't care for AirPods at all. I use wireless Bose speakers in my home and Sennheiser for bluetooth over ear headphones but for buds I am super SUPER picky. While all of those brands are known for their high quality audio devices, having tried their offers in the "buds" department, JayBird Vista is the clear winner for several reasons. I owned the Jaybird Vista before these and recently upgraded to the Vista 2's after leaving my beloved Vistas on an airplane (they were still working perfectly after years of heavy use). I won't go into all the details but suffice it to say I have tried and compared all of these top of the line buds (my husband has Bose, my sister Apple, and I bought and sent back the Sennheiser) and in a head to head, JayBird provided the best experience; Stellar sound! Great battery life - though, it should be noted that the battery life of the case and the phones themselves don't last nearly as long as the original Vista's due to the ANC. This is to be expected of course, but it took some getting used to to train myself to charge them more regularly. Connectivity - Others have cited issues with this but I have had a FLAWLESS experience with connectivity. I use these with my iPhone 11 Pro, my Apple watch and my iPad Air 2. It remembers all of my devices and it's easy to switch between them like when I want to go for a walk but leave my phone at home and listen to a book or music on my apple watch. I have never had signal drop randomly and I get more than enough distance from the bluetooth. ANC/Surround sense - I love that my buds now have ANC, and it's pretty darn good for ear buds! I also love how easy it is to toggle between ANC and surround sense by tapping twice. That being said, I almost NEVER use them in surround sense mode because I just don't care for the sound. I love that it's there and it can most definitely come in handy in certain situations, but I just don't really use it. COMFORT! - This might be one of the biggest reasons I bought Vista vs any other brand. These are the only buds that not only fit snuggly in my ears using the interchangeable pieces but are comfortable for LONG WEAR! They are light weight, small and don't push, pull, tug or bother my sensitive inner ears at all! If comfort is your biggest driving factor, then you should buy these without question. Durability - I knew Jaybird made good products as I've been buying their buds for years, but they have truly outdone themselves with the Vista 2 in the "life proof" department. I wear these hiking, running, working out, in my sauna, etc. They have been rained on and dropped and still look, feel and work like new. Controls - I love the intuitive and customizable controls of these buds. They are very user friendly, as is the app. In summary, the Jaybird Vista 2 is at the very top of the industry standard when it comes to true wireless ANC earbud technology and the price is VERY fair for what you get. I seriously cannot recommend these enough! I sincerely hope this review has been helpful to someone else! And yes, I paid full price for them. Feel free to ask any questions! ... show more

  • Does everything you need for a set of running ear buds
I have tried at least 8 or 10 sets of ear buds in the last 2 years for working out and running. I have to say these have everything I need for running. Pros - small case that has wireless charging - great battery life -physical buttons. this is a must when sweaty. touch only buttons always glitch with sweat -great sound that can be customized with the app -great fit for me. very comfortable and they don't move around when running -ANC is real good, not as good as some others but works good -controls for volume and taking calls right on the buds. some don't have this, even at higher price points - the most important is the water proofing. I had two high end sets of buds that would cut out with sweat or light mist. these keep playing with no issue Cons -I can hear some wind noise with the ANC on or off. I just use for lifting and running. when I run I can hear some wind noise. If you are using these for biking, I would suggest another pair as I can imagine the wind noise would be real loud -the buttons are real stiff. they are new so I am assuming they will soften over time. Out of the box, you haver to click the buttons pretty hard to get them to work. -I am worried about the fabric covers ripping over time, They seem very high quality but I can see that the fabric may not stand the test of time Overall, they have every feature I needed for running. some may sound better or have slightly better features but I could find a set that sounded this good and had every feature I needed. Plus at 100 bucks, its a bargain ... show more

  • The worst buds I've ever owned!
I bought that in June! There was a brief time where I thought there were some positive and the negatives were tolerable. That ship has sailed. I work in a kitchen. After many disappointing, cheap ear buds, I thought maybe a more expensive, quality pair would save me money in the long run. Which may still be true. I don't know because quality these are not. At the start, I thought they were sturdy and the one positive I'll still give them is they did fit in my ears pretty well and never did fall out. So credit where it's due. And the noise canceling did work pretty well, when I was able to get sound at all. You see, that was the first red flag. Far too often, these things would just drop the audio for no apparent reason. Never during a video. Like the audio wouldn't just stop and the video keep going. But if ever the audio source, be it YouTube video or Spotify or whatever, were to pause or, like in the case of YouTube, auto play into the next video, suddenly it would have zero audio playback. This could maybe be forgivable if it was an anomaly, but they KNOW this happens. Their troubleshooting guide mentions that this occurs and gives tips on what to do when it does. Ironically, they didn't seem to understand what causes it or even how to fix it. I eventually discovered that you could get the audio back by pausing playback, cycling through the noise canceling options while paused, and then resuming. If that was the only problem it would have ultimately been an annoying but tolerable problem. However, given the price of these things, it really should be unacceptable. Alas, that was not the only problem these things incurred. Because God forbid you get a little ear wax into the holes. The rubber is not easily removed so if anything at all manages to find its way in there, you're screwed. There's no way to remove the rubber cover on the ear piece in order to clean it out and restore audio. And you run the risk of damaging it if you try and clean it out with an object like a toothpick or something. My right ear bud simply became irreconcilably muffled. Nothing I did was able to fix it. Fortunately, I was used to only wearing one bud at a time, so I sucked it up and made due. Surely nothing else could go wrong? Of course, because also working in a restaurant, if any dirt or anything hap happened to collect on the under side where the charging connectors are, the slightest imperfection won't allow them to connect and they won't charge. Oh, speaking of charge, an early problem I ran into before all of this was both of my buds would remain on, draining both batteries, even when one was still in the box and I was only using one in my ear. I had to do a Lot of fidgeting to get them to stop doing this. But I digress. In the picture, you'll notice that the cloth that they've inexplicably chosen to cover the button with is torn off. That happened after the first two weeks. I work in a damp, humid environment, wearing gloves that often are wet, or have oil on them. They couldn't handle the bear minimum of touching one would expect to do from pausing video or constantly cycling through noise canceling features, for example. Both buds looked like this very quickly. Then the icing on the cake. I managed to drop the charging case ONE Time, from about waist level. What's supposed to be a sturdy, tough product, took one fall and it broke the hinge on charging case. About two weeks after that, the one remaining bud I had started to simply fade away. Sound became significantly more muffled. There were times I could adjust it in my ear and get the sound back but then it would just slowly start diminishing sound again until one day I could barely hear anything. Again, I have no idea if this was a clogging issue or a mechanical one, because they made it impossible to troubleshoot yourself. $130 wasted. Not a single redeeming quality left that I can say would make these worth purchasing. I can only give it a one star review but let's call it 0.5 since they did fit in my ears well. Best advice I can give is seek elsewhere. ... show more
