This product works great, easy to use although the telescoping feature would loosen itself as you used it. Not a huge problem, just slightly annoying. The rake end/fingers, not sure what it's called, seem a bit fragile. Had one of the ones at the end start bending already after using it for about an hour. This thing is great! I can use it in my garden reduced to about 50% of max and it works perfectly and when I want to rake leaves in the yard it will expand to a full width yard rake. It is easy to adjust, strong and still light so it does not wear me out after using it for a few minutes. I love that it does not take up much room and the size and the compact tines when put away for storage makes it easy, I hated my old rake because it was always getting hung on something when I would put it away or get it out of the garage. I needed rakes. What's the joke.. you know you are an adult when you have a favorite spatula? well, I think same can be said of rakes. My old metal wire rake eventually broke, as well as my plastic rake. I was rakeless! I needed to replace my metal rake and my plastic rake at same time. Figuring to get one at a time, I looked for wire rakes first. I find I always need both, and they are good for different situations. I haven't found a plastic rake I want yet online, but I was able to find a metal rake with this Jardineer adjustable rake. As expected, it can be adjusted in both handle length (very important feature for me), as well as in the width, tension of the tines. I do yard clean up and some landscaping jobs, so I need an assortment of tools to get the jobs done. The adjustable handle not only allows me to create the length I need for my height, but also for reaching hard to access spots, as well as storing in my truck when done for the day. Expandable Head from 7" to 23"- Makes it perfect for getting into tight spots, or for more general raking by using widest setting. Nice long 63" adjustable, telescoping pole provides lots of reach options. So far so good.. quite pleased with this rake. ... show more

This rake is not very sturdy nor strong. After a week some screws fell off, the teeth bent and finally it split in two. Might be useful for light late summer raking, will not survive a week in the middle of fall.

    • Broke after one serious use

I really wanted to like this rake. I like how light it is and how you can adjust the width of the rake. However, I used it today for the first time this fall after purchasing it 5 months ago. I was raking leaves when all of the sudden all of the tines went flying! One of the screws holding all of the tines in place apparently came undone. We managed to find the screw but not the nut that held the screw in place (given the number of leaves in our yard, it was the equivalent of searching for a needle in a haystack). If this rake won't hold up to a pile of dry leaves, I'm not entirely sure what you would use it for. Additionally, I found the handle a little difficult to keep extended. No matter how tight I turned the handle, it seemed to keep coming loose and trying to collapse back into itself. ... show more
