I purchased these a few years ago for my kids and again recently as a gift. They are cute and perfect for Minecraft fans! Word to the wise: VERY painful if left in the floor and stepped on... quite possibly worse than leggos. Overall, highly recommend!

These figures are more accurate to MOJANG's designs than many budget Minecraft toys you may want to gift. The accuracy should please more familiar fans and dedicated collectors. Each figure is a small, durable weight in the palm of your hand. All figures are made of metal and their bases are adjusted per figure to support weight imbalance. The figures are fit into a plastic mold held within the product box by a second mold. Amazon shipped my product surrounded by air bags within a larger cardboard box. This means of packaging should protect the figures, but may cause damage to the product box. I found an issue with quality control with my Wave 2 figure set. One figure had a paint smear upon its face. There were also multiple spots of paint of a differing color found upon the base. Great for children and adults alike! ... show more

So my kid is obviously a minecraft fan, and asked for a minecraft cake. Mojang won't just make a deal with the cake industry (they're missing out on some serious royalty money here), so I decided to improvise. These characters are solid metal, and heavier than I expected. At first I was concerned about them being too heavy for the cake, but they were great. Being weighted the way they were, I pushed them a little farther into the icing than I usually would, but they stayed perfectly even when we had to move the cake around. We also bought my son a minecraft playset with 10 other characters, so after we ate cake we washed these and he got to have quite the epic battle. He's still playing with these toys more than a month after his birthday, although some of the paint is beginning to chip from the corners of most of their heads. He doesn't care, he loves them and it has renewed his interest in imaginary play vs video games. I'm very happy with this set! ... show more
