  • Don’t be afraid of refurbished
I was considering buying Apple air pods pro, but after much research, decided these were a better fit for my lifestyle. I was prepared to buy these at the sale price of $139, but then found these refurbished for about half the price. I was a little leery about refurbished ear buds, but decided it was worth the gamble for the savings. I could not be happier. These are refurbished by Jabra and look, feel and perform as new. They are literally perfect. The sound is fantastic and customizable with the app, the ANC is excellent, and the hear through function is great for when I’m wearing them at work. The app is outstanding, allowing you to customize the sound, ANC levels, even the button functions. If you’re on the fence about refurb, take the leap. This was an outstanding purchase. ... show more

  • Jabra Ignored Service Request for Refurbished Earbuds which Arrived Unable to Charge - Updat e
Second Post - One week after Jabra promised to follow up my service request Jabra has not followed up. Bottom line for me is the earbuds are trash and I am out the money I paid. First Post: The earbuds I bought will not charge. The earbuds arrived on a Thursday but the earbuds would not charge. I tried "everything", but the earbuds would not charge. I filed a support request on Thursday at Jabra and got an email verification of receipt. Jabra's email stated they would investigate and get back to me but Jabra failed to do so. As of today, Monday at 5 P.M., Jabra has not contacted me. If Jabra does not provide support I will return the earbuds to Amazon. Depending on how this goes I will revise this review. ... show more

  • Good sound and features, worthless if you're a road cyclist
This is an edit/ update to the first review that I posted. I posted that after a mountain bike ride, the earbuds worked well in that capacity. Because you rarely go fast on a mountain bike in the mountains, it's mostly slow grind climbing. I just did a 3 ½ hour road ride, I'm a reasonably fast rider. Here's the bottom line: You turn on ambient aware (or pass-thru, whatever they call it, so you can hear ambient sounds in the buds), and anytime you're going faster than say, 12 MPH, the wind noise is deafening and just gets worse the faster you go. Fast 25+MPH descent? Forget about it, you'll go deaf from the roar, it's literally painful. It takes the wind noise and amplifies it several times. I had the passthru volume turned all the way up so I can hear cars coming up behind me. Music low enough that I can hear that passthru. Start riding, deafening roar in my ears. Wait, did I miss some setting, is this a joke? That roar drowns out any traffic noise, and drowns out any music you're playing, making it worthless in that use. No one called me during that ride, but I'm confident that they're just as worthless in that capacity as well. When you turn on noise reduction, all is wonderful. It really does a great job of eliminating outside sounds. Your music sounds good, the world goes away and you get lost in the ride. All great, except that you can't hear anything. If your bike's drivetrain starts making a noise, if you get a puncture and air is escaping, if a car is bearing down on you and you need to move over to the edge of the road, a faster rider is approaching from behind, "on your left!". And that's dangerous and dumb. Turning it all off (except the music) is only slightly less dangerous, you have earplugs in and ambient sounds are diminished. On really rural roads with little traffic, I used noise reduction and glanced over my shoulder to check for traffic every 30 seconds. Back in the city on the way home, I took them out and stuffed them in my jersey pocket. For calls they work great, people on the other end told me that I sounded good and clear, I could hear them and my own voice well. I'm sure that on a train or airplane when you want to block out the noise, they work great. Your apartment is over a train station or next to an airport and you want to get some sleep, they work great. But on a bicycle out on the road, they absolutely suck. I should have listened to DC Rainmaker. He wrote as much in the first paragraph of his review of these earbuds. He was 100% correct. Gladly I bought these as refurbs with Prime Day pricing and saved a ton of money. If I'd paid full price, they'd be in a box on their way back. I can only hope that a future firmware update adds a hybrid mode- noise reduction for wind roar, but that allows other ambient sounds through. ... show more

  • Great Value, Great Buds
I own a ton of TWS earbuds; I'll reference other ones in my comments, so if there's a particular feature that's important to you, you can see how these fare against the competition. Note: I don't own Apple (AirPods or Pro) because for me, sound quality is the most important feature, and although the Apples are awesome in other categories (mic quality, for instance), they don't hold their own in the sound quality arena at their respective prices. Before I rip these Jabras apart feature by feature, here's a spoiler alert: overall, I really like these as a whole. I can almost guarantee that you will too. Comfort 5* They fit well both in my ears (buds) and in my pocket (case). Both the buds and the case are small and lightweight, but it's important to note here is that YMMV. I have my ears, not yours, and my ears are average-sized, so although they come with s/m/l tips, I don't know how small or large ears will accommodate these buds. However, I've heard many times that these buds benefit greatly from a pair of Spinfit CP360 ear tips. Battery 4* They last all day and both the case and the buds last a long time. The only reason why they're 4* and not 5 is that they aren't class-leading. Jlab's Epic Air ANC, for example, have almost double.... but still, they last plenty long for me. I can go all day on a single charge. Jabra's battery life claims are accurate. The Qi charging capability is an overdue improvement to remain competitive at this price. App 4* Again, not class-leading (Sony, Soundcore, JLab apps are better), but still at the top tier. You can control almost everything, including re-mapping the button controls. I like this feature a lot because I can make them consistent with other brands and not have to learn which buds do what given a tap. One minor thing to note: the app tells you the battery levels of both the buds and the case. However, it takes a while and several uses for the app to catch up. For example, if your case is at 30% and you charge them to 100% the case will still show 30% for a while. Button Controls 4* Don't be turned off by the lack of touch controls - these buttons are done right. They activate with a click and are light enough that you don't have to push the buds further in your ear canal. The only thing you can't do is change your EQ settings from the controls like you can with the JLAB Epic Air ANC - you have to go into the app to do that. Phone Call Quality 4* I haven't had any complaints about how these sound on the other end, but I've heard YouTubers do tests and they sounded okay. Not perfect, but okay. One feature these have is called Sidetone. I like this because it adjusts how your own voice sounds when on a call. Although it is adjustable in the app, I wish it was stronger, but not many (if any) other TWS buds have this at all, so it's a win. Noise Modes (ANC and Ambient Sound) 5* Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): 4.5* Even though this model wasn't built for ANC, the free app update provides impressive ANC! It outperforms everything I own except the Bose and Sony pairs, which cost much more. I wasn't expecting this level of performance. The only drawback is that it's either on or off. You can't control it. But still - free post-sale ANC update? Wow! KUDOS to Jabra! To my knowledge, this has never been done before. Ambient Sound 5* This is adjustable. I use this mode almost all the time. I can actually hear things around me better with the buds in than I can with my natural hearing! Despite what other reviewers say, I think they could hang with the best - Sony & Bose. Sound Quality 5* For this category, I'm giving them 5* even though they're not the best. Here, "class-leading" (meaning buds in this price range) is the standard. Sennheiser, Bose, and top-tier Sony's are clearer (of those, the Senns are the clearest). But these sound great no matter what you throw at them. I don't know how Jabra can get such good sound with PLENTY of bass out of a 6mm driver, but they do. Although they're neck-and-neck with the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro, I would say they nudge them out for the best sounding TWS earbuds you can get for under $129, the price of new Jabra Active Elite 75Ts - when they're on sale. Seller: I had a problem with the wireless charging case with the first pair and the seller took them back without issue. I'm glad I gave them a 2nd chance. The replacement works on both wired (USB-C) and Qi wireless modes. Of course, wired is faster. ... show more
