  • Great headphones, need a little work
Color: Brown-Gray
PROs: The headset looks great. Though it is honestly the least important to me. They sound amazing, but this is also a con. They work wonderfully. and the touch options weren't even something I noticed when I bought them. Head band doesn't crush you and is comfy CONs: The quick start directions are just that. VIA BT on at least Windows 10 there are two different audio devices. For music and fidelity you do NOT want the hands free one, which presents as the default device on my unit. IDK if this is specifically a Windows thing or it is programmed. Enabling the other device that does not explicitly state hands free allows for MUCH better sound. It also allows you to enable spacial sound in the audio CP called "Microsoft Sonic" and it sounds fantastic. It should also be noted touch volume control only works when the main non hands free device is in use ( makes sense). At first I didn't notice I was on the HF device and while voices were good actual rhythm seemed very shallow. This makes sense as I believe it is more meant for calls. But if you don't change this you will be extraordinarily disappointed in the way music sounds in HF mode. The only other con would be the muffs. I REALLY wish AT would include a velour option or set you can purchase. While I understand this can DRASTICALLY change the sound dynamic of a headset extended wearing gets sticky if you are in a hot environment. Other Thoughts: Great headphones. quick run down. There are 3 modes. Put your entire palm over the left speaker with them on. It only takes a few seconds and the headset will chirp and tell you (via a voice) what is enabled. The quick start guide only indicates two but there are 3 toggles. - Hear Through (This allows you to hear whats going on near you) - Off (pretty much sounds like you are wearing a headset) - Noise Cancellation (actively fights outside noise) With that said audio quality does not seem super affected by the mode setting which I really thought it would. The noise cancellation is straight magic iv never experienced something like it. I am around 10ft from my AC air handler closet and wow. ... show more

  • Great sound, delicate product.
Color: Black
Let me start by saying I am very OCD. I received a pair of the Audio Technica SR50BTs and instantly fell in love. Quickly it turned into quite a headache but in the end, I'm mostly happy. So I got these headphones for work (Graphic Design) and I wanted something I could wear all day with glasses. They fit great and feel good. The sound is awesome and the noise REDUCTION, not cancellation works as its name suggests. After a few hours of using the headset, I realized my touch controls were working much worse than i expected from the reviews of it so I returned them for a replacement. The replacement arrived and the touch controls work, however, the replacement had a scratch on it. OCD kicked in and I couldn't drop the scratch in my mind. So I contacted Amazon and was told I could not get a replacement on a replacement, I would get a full refund and could rebuy it. I did just that and when they arrived they also had defects (a piece of hair was under the black coating on the earcup. I contacted Amazon and was told they didn't have anymore since and I could get a refund. I kept the original scratched replacement and was refunded a partial refund of $30. About the product itself: This headset is very attractive. The earpads are soft and comfortable even with glasses on. You can remove them to replace them by gently twisting them off, but they are very secure on the device when they are on. They do tend to cause my ears to get slightly sore after wearing them for a good 5 hours but not everyone will be doing that and the irritation is minimally and mostly caused by the shape of my frames more than the shape of the headset. In the box are a nifty little carry bag (leatherette) and some wires and instructions/warranty info. The case was not going to protect these headphones from any bumps or drops so I opted to buy a nice hard case from Geekria and im decently happy with my purchase. Sound: I listen to heavy metal when I work and it sounds great. It's bassy but not overwhelming and the vocals sound clean and clear over Bluetooth. I like the hear-through so when the boss calls for me I can hear them. The noise cancellation is not really cancellation but reduction and it does that well, We have the AC running in our large office and the printers and phone calls, etc. When I turn on the noise reduction the talking and printers all muffle and the AC is nonexistent. ... show more
