I recently had my first baby and one of the items I didn’t receive that was on my registry was an expensive car baby monitor. I decided to keep looking and stumbled upon this one. After reading lots of reviews I decided why not give it a shot. Honestly, I am so glad no one wasted their money on an expensive monitor because this one works amazingly! Picture is super clear and it was really easy to set up. Yes, you have to deal with the cords but I was able to tuck them into different spaces to keep them out of the way. I do highly recommend attaching rubber feet or putting something underneath the monitor to keep it from sliding around. We wanted something that made it much easier to see our baby and not such a pain. We had the basic mirror that we purchased from Walmart prior. However, we couldn't get it to stay where we could see our little one. I remember the same issue when we had our 3rd child. So, we opted for purchasing this camera. Based on reviews, and our family members having one for their little. The camera is a great price, picture is clear during the day and night. Night time the picture quality is a little darker but baby is still visible. The camera itself is able to be moved in order to aim it in the direction needed to view. I do recommend buying something such as a cellphone gripper that can cling to the dash. For the screen so it doesn't slide around. Cord length is more than enough. We have a traverse, and the camera on the second row. It works great. We just have most of the cord under our car mats. ... show more

Purchased this camera in May. All was working well until the end piece broke off and now we're unable to use it or even find the metal piece. I don't see where I can contact the seller directly. So as for durability, probably 2 stars. Otherwise works pretty well.. I'm unable to place it on the dash because of the angle it has a funny glare to it and you can't see baby in the back. ... show more

This baby car camera was a game changer for us when our little one HATED the car seat and would scream bloody murder the entire drive. It was helpful to keep an eye on her and it's much better than a mirror. That being said, it lasted only slightly over a year. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure the cigarette lighter charger fried both the camera monitor AND our actual cigarette lighter port. We tried another cigarette charger for something else and it wouldn't work at all. Then I bought a replacement USB cord for this to see if it was just that and I can tell the monitor shows a faint image - therefore, likely fried by whatever happened. I'm disappointed that I have no way to contact the seller. I recently bought a second camera (right before this happened) for our second car but I'm going to return that and try another brand instead. ... show more

What? A Mirror? What is this, 1997? Get with the times, bruh! At first I was worried about the cord length, but this had exactly the length I needed to set this up in my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I even strung it through the plastics and door rubbery whatevers, all the way down the plastic beside the windshield, and jammed into the frontmost part of the dashboard, to sit right in the center. It comes with a little foam-rubber mat so you can like… sit it atop your dashboard, more? I would estimate it would take at least 7 minor jolts or somewhat sharp turns in the Target parking lot before it just falls off. I threw that in the trash and stuck it on with a couple Command™ Strips. Works perfectly. The resolution is good enough to see my infants blank facial expressions, or if she spit out her binky, or if she's just screaming bloody murder for no reason. During the day, it works at least twice as good as a mirror. During the night, it works 1,000,000% better than a mirror, because mirrors don't work in the dark. ... show more

It was GREAT to be able to check on the baby while keeping my eyes on the road! The product was made relatively cheaply, however, and broke after a few months of use. We ended up just buying a mirror for the back seat so we can check on the baby in our rear view mirror. It felt like we were going to have to replace this product too often to make it worth it.
