My parents got one and I liked it so much I decided to get one for myself. I bought it mainly for the ability to "transform" from basic coffee table into a work table or eating area. Also is perfect for playing board games or doing puzzles. The storage space is a bonus for me. It works and looks good. Space is decent, I can fit a decent number of games inside the compartments - like card games or games in smaller boxes. Larger box board games (such as monopoly) do not fit as well. I have yet to find a use for the bottom shelf because I have a dog that likes to get into things and eat them, but it's a decent storage area. My parents bought little storage bins that they could slide on the bottom shelf and it works pretty well for them. It's important that you be careful when moving/extending the table. follow the instructions for how to set it up and down, otherwise you can damage the moving parts. The table should never be opened up to the full size without the support underneath this. This is because the hinges on the table top are very cheap and weak. I expect the cheap particle board for this kind of thing, but the cheap quality of the hinges disappointed me the most. If you use everything exactly as intended and follow the instructions, the hinges should be fine. But on my parents table, I once accidentally opened up the top without the having the support underneath, the hinges opened further than they were intended and bent slightly, so now their table has a bit of a gap between the two halves. So just be aware of that. Assembly was a bit involved, but that's to be expected for something like this. The included instructions were perhaps a bit lacking in detail at times, but I like puzzles and a trying to figure things out, so I didn't mind too much. It's recommended that you have 2 people put this together, though I managed to do it myself without too much hassle. Again most assembly parts seem relatively sturdy, but I was a bit disappointed in the cheap quality of hinges and how they are attached. ... show more

When the top is folded out to a full table, it's a good size for 4 people, will be great for game nights. The table is really nice looking, pretty easy to assemble and sturdy enough. The mechanism that puts the table back down to a “coffee table” option is really nice and smooth. There are several things I’m not a fan of, the mechanism of how you attach two biggest parts that make huge “dinning” table are really hard to put in. Also, they are visible and the screws don’t hide so it is possible to hook your sweater (or smth else) on it. Was fairly straightforward to put together, no major Hang Ups, I think this company does a great job with quality control because all pre-drilled holes lined up and felt pretty solid. The media could not be loaded. I really enjoy this table. Single 59 yrs old women put together myself. I put the black mesh panel on backwards, make sure when putting together that the opposite side of the foot pads is flush with the side x railings. Also put one side of the storage box long side on wrong. Make sure both long sides show two holes each on the top side as your putting together. I took the guy's review in the reviews to order the rollers in to attach to the feet makes it super easy to roll around so no need to deal with people's issues with the weight moving it. When installing the last table panel from underneath, I used a drill to just get it started on the 4th separated hole on each side then finished screwing it in with a shortened the handle screwdriver. Then used the drill to just start the middle of the 3 holes, again finished screwing in using the driver that comes with. Used the small handle screwdriver to do most inside of the 3 holes and then the drill to start the outermost hole and used small handle screwdriver to finish it. It looks pretty, wish the mesh storage was the same material as the table but I can deal with it. It feels very sturdy is easy to open with two hands and closes softly and easily with one hand. The fact that it opens to a full table is a total gimme as I mainly wanted the one half only but fell in love with the look. It matches two bookshelves I have in the hall and dinning room. It honestly was really annoying to assemble and it took a single person almost 2 hours to put together. But despite that the table is super handy and worth the trouble. Easily lives up to holding 8 people. I like the multiple configurations. Lots of storage and pretty sturdy for pressed board

The particle board is a nice quality heavy one. I was surprised how much this weighs! I removed one star because one of the pieces arrived cracked in half on one side with a gauge in the other side, but it doesn’t seem to impact the stability or structural integrity of the table (unfortunately the scratches are very visible). It was very easy to assemble, a drill was helpful for attaching the hinges but I could have done it with the provided screwdriver. The lift mechanism is awesome! It soft closes, so no slamming the top down. The expanded table is a great size. This is an awesome piece for my small house with no dining room, very unique! Can’t wait to host dinner and game night! Update: they replaced the cracked piece for free, and even with the table fully assembled already it should be fairly easy to disassembled and replace. ... show more
