  • This works in my RV, no question; get one.
I bought this for our Grand Designs' 2800BH camper; we live in the north and have to winterize for the winter. Most people have issues with keeping the insides of their campers dry and use everything from dehumidifiers to buckets of DampRid. Do yourself a real favor and buy one of these instead and save the headache the mess, and the cleanup. Please note this not a dehumidifier, it is only slightly warm to the touch and simply works on the concept of RELATIVE humidity and Dew points of the outside air vs. the inside - and it WORKS - period, end of question. I checked our winterized camper again this morning after 3 weeks of 13 inch snow and then sub-zero temperatures - literally no moisture build-up anywhere inside. Also, note this is not a heater so don't expect any noticeable temperature differential... They should sell these at the RV dealers. ... show more

  • Great for the Carolina's
We use one Dry Wave in our covered 25' pontoon which sits on a dock-side lift year round in NC. Last year plugged in the DW in the Fall when Temps start averaging in the 60's, checked it in December and January, then left it until early April. Worked great w/out any Damp Rid. No condensation or mold/mildew in the boat. Set it on a piece of 1x wood large enough to keep the DW off the deck floor (didn't want any heat from the DW close to the vinyl flooring). Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Not what I thought it was so I returned it
I thought this was the kind with the big fan in it that moves a ton of air. It is not. It just has a heat coil and air move upward due to the heat. I ordered the more expensive kind that is all aluminum and has the big fan in it and moves tons of air.

  • Works safely
This was installed on a 33 foot moored sailboat in the PNW. I have it in the main cabin. The unit warms noticeably but the resting area beneath remains cool. I'm thinking of getting another unit for the diesel compartment.

  • Does what it's supposed to do
I read several reviews before I purchased this and I think most of the negative reviews are from people who do not understand the difference between humidity and RELATIVE humidity. One reviewer actually thought he was scammed because he thought he got an empty plastic case. I can understand why though. It is just a small heating element inside a large plastic case. I do believe the manufacturer's description is misleading. This is not a dehumidifier. It does not "dry" or remove moisture from the air. All it does is warm the air, which reduces the RELATIVE humidity. This is also meant to warm the surrounding surfaces preventing condensation from occurring. This is just a cheaper way of lowering relative humidity, since a dehumidifier is basically a small air conditioner. ... show more

  • Just works!
I use the dryers in an RV to keep the humidity down during the winter. Dropped from 70% humidity to 50% humidity the first day.

  • It’s great for my camp trailer
I like that it’s easy to use and keeps my camp trailer dry inside

  • Expected more!!!!
I have to say ,I was really looking forward to getting these! I bought 2 thinking I can use 1 in my 7x7 shed and the other in my <400sq ft basement. Come to find out I need BOTH for the 7x7 shed and still the humidity is still 64-70% and this is with 2-4.5 buckets of Damp Rid and a bag of charcoal!!! I live in the Seattle area and the shed is brand new (haven't even move much into yet until I get the humidity under control). I WAS going to purchase a few more for my garage But , I think I'll move on to a different way to manage the moisture I'm trying to minimize. Too bad.... I thought this was gonna fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn!!!!!!!!!! ... show more
