Its worth the wow factor alone I got from the tool I received for $40! First I was impressed by the weight. It has some heft. Then went out to bust some lugnuts loose. It got the job done!

    • A flexible impact driver that's also an impact wrench, with sockets, great price.
I understand this tool or similar was introduced a year or so ago, and people complained that it wasn't the strongest impact wrench on the market. I don't need that, I already have one of those. What I didn't have is a light small one, and I also didn't have an impact driver -- that fits 1/4 inch drill bits. Now I do, and it even runs on DeWalt format batteries. For some reason the product photos don't show the end of the nose. It has a hole in it that is a socket for 1/4 inch drill bits. But that's my favorite feature of this tool! I prefer that the tool makers don't also supply the batteries. Split the labor and the skillset, and don't make me proliferate batteries and chargers all over my shelves. I've standardized on the DeWalt format, and I try to buy tools that use those batteries. Now I'll finally be able to retire my 20 year old DeWalt 18V (the ancient format) drill and especially that charger and battery, because this will be my new drill for 1/4 inch drill bits. It will also be an impact wrench for times I don't need monster torque. It comes with some deep impact sockets, with even a pin and O-ring to keep the pin in place. I've never needed a pin when I've used a socket, and I am afraid if I did and the pin bent, I could not get it apart. This happened once when I was using a gasoline powered earth auger where the auger bit was held on by a pin (obviously much fatter than the pin that would fit in a 1/2 inch impact socket), and it bent. I was lucky to be able to shake that pin loose with a demolition hammer! But it's there if you need it. Also included is a strap, but I don't see how to attach that strap to the tool, so it's just an extra strap. The tool is great even without it. The instruction manual is surprisingly good, in clear English. One thing it doesn't explain is what the two buttons are for. One button is for the forward modes, which are 3 speeds. The other button is for the reverse/breakaway modes, which are burst and continuous. (So if you have the tool in forward mode selected with the usual slider above the trigger, the reverse mode button won't do anything.) ... show more
