This was very easy to assemble. One of the legs was backwards but was easy to right it. My mom has many books and magazines that she likes to have on hand along with photo albums of the grandkids. It is definitely very sturdy. The only drawback is that it is only 9.45" in depth. It would be more sturdier if it was deeper since majority of her albums and books are more like 11 or 12 inches but otherwise a good buy if you are looking for small room storage ... show more

The item arrived with some broken pieces, and some pieces were missing (didnt realize 3 pieces were missing until I got the replacement and compared). I reached out to Amazon support when I noticed, I didnt want another bookshelf, just the pieces missing replaced. Amazon sent me a new one immediately, told me I can keep the pieces I needed and send back the ones I didnt. Amazon? More like Amazing! I bought two and it took me less than an hour and a half to put both of them up. Be careful when nailing in the backboard as I was not and end up hammering where it was on the edge and blasted through the side of a shelf board, through no fault of the manufacturer. It’s hidden by books and was small thankfully. They are both sturdy, nice material, great value for the amount you pay and the shelf itself. I put my back board on the opposite side of the intended on one so I could mirror them on each side of my bed. I’m using them as nightstands and I have already purchased more of the matching longer shelves to go along the side walls. Working on redoing my room and these are just perfect for my aesthetic goals. 10/10 would recommend. Oh, side note, they’re great for small LEGO displays. ... show more

Bought this bookcase for my yoga room and was pleasantly surprised by look and quality. My husband put it together easily. It is a little wobbly , so I would recommend using the included strap that will secure it to the wall if you have kids around.

Pros: -all parts well labeled -easy-to-follow assembly instructions -well painted -sturdy and very attractive once assembled Cons: -flimsy, lightweight tools included for assembly. I ended up grabbing my tool kit to get the job done. -the pre-drilled holes were not bored all the way through. I ended up having to re-bore each hole to be able to connect the pieces. It took me a really long time to find something attractive, simple but most importantly I needed the cubby area to be large enough for bigger toys. This fit it all! HOWEVER it is wobbly and does not sit flush on the floor. The 3 back cardboard pieces are just 2mm shy in being about to be nailed down so only the top parts are nailed down and if you hit against it they rattle. They do come with hooks so I'll def be having to attach them to the wall. Otherwise color is gorgeous and it'll get the job done for a kids room. ... show more
