It took me a really long time to find something attractive, simple but most importantly I needed the cubby area to be large enough for bigger toys. This fit it all! HOWEVER it is wobbly and does not sit flush on the floor. The 3 back cardboard pieces are just 2mm shy in being about to be nailed down so only the top parts are nailed down and if you hit against it they rattle. They do come with hooks so I'll def be having to attach them to the wall. Otherwise color is gorgeous and it'll get the job done for a kids room. ... show more

I bought two and it took me less than an hour and a half to put both of them up. Be careful when nailing in the backboard as I was not and end up hammering where it was on the edge and blasted through the side of a shelf board, through no fault of the manufacturer. It’s hidden by books and was small thankfully. They are both sturdy, nice material, great value for the amount you pay and the shelf itself. I put my back board on the opposite side of the intended on one so I could mirror them on each side of my bed. I’m using them as nightstands and I have already purchased more of the matching longer shelves to go along the side walls. Working on redoing my room and these are just perfect for my aesthetic goals. 10/10 would recommend. Oh, side note, they’re great for small LEGO displays. ... show more

Did a lot of research for an affordable bookshelf for our daughter that wasn’t junk. We just assembled this in an hour. It was the perfect size for the space and gave us the extra shelf space we needed. The books shown were all on 2 three-cube shelves and a 5 shelf fabric book thing, and we have so much extra room! I love the design and color of this bookcase, and purchased two for my daughter's playroom. I was pretty disappointed to find that a lot of the pieces have scratches and brown marks on them. I would've returned if this had been for anywhere else in my home, but since I know kids are going to be hard on it anyways, I kept it. I do think it's overpriced for the quality. $100 maybe, but $150 is too much for what you get. Pros: Color and design are pretty, unique, and aesthetic! The piece seems sturdy. Comes with wall anchors for anti-tipping Cons: Scratched pieces, screws showing everywhere (wooden dowels and cam screws would be so much better). The back pieces don't have pre-marked holes or anything to help line it up, which made it difficult to get the nails into the unit sometimes. Make sure when you put it together, you examine each piece for the best side to face out. All in all, it's fine for kids, but this wouldn't go anywhere else in my home because the quality is not there with all of the scratches and screws showing. ... show more

Honestly, I don't hate it. But it's cheap. It needs some weight to the item because it's wobbly and slides around. Yes, I should fasten it to the wall, but I don't want to put holes in the wall because we rent, and I don't want to patch a bunch of holes when we move out. I also don't have children at home, and the bookcase sits beside my desk. If they made just the board at the bottom out of a thick, heavier pressboard, it would be enough to add stability and stop it from sliding around. Then I'd be giving it 5 stars. But for the price, it looks nice and does work as intended—it provides a place for the books and binders I use for work instead of stacking them on my desk. It was easy to assemble. The instructions were clear. And it came with everything needed for assembly. So that's a win! ... show more
