We picked this up to replace a 10 year old range hood in our kitchen and are very pleased with it. It was very easy to install and is actually a little less bulky than our old hood (which made installation even easier). The touchless gesture control works flawlessly and is a great touch to a range hood. It is easier to wave your hand to get it to turn on then to physically have to setdown what you are working on on the stove to flip a switch. Very nice touch. This product is beautiful and works well. It was installed within 30 minutes, so I suppose it was quite simple. I had someone install it for me. It is not as bulky as I thought it would be. It fits in the space well. The one feature I really like is the touchless or gesture control. The noise is very low when it is running. The other good thing is that there is a 10 year motor warranty...the motor is the part that generally goes out first. This hood is a great deal for a residential kitchen. ... show more

You don’t want to be that person that panic dials the fire department only to have them arrive before you’ve had the chance to put pants on because you tried to do the whole seductively-cooking-bacon-naked-to-impress-the-date-that-stayed-the-night-thing that subsequently created a grease fire thanks to your lack of vent hood, do you? Of course you don’t. Heck, maybe YOU’RE the date, you want to thank the person that kindly offered you a place to, uh, sleep, and decide to cook them bacon whilst scantily if at all clad and YOU start a grease fire. Very embarrassing for you both, honestly. Luckily, this phenomenally built, gloriously sleek hunk of metal exists to save you from that embarrassment. Simply install prior to all future dates set to result in seductive breakfast cooking. (really don’t recommend that in general honestly, unless you toss the apron I also recently reviewed over yourself for safety if not modesty’s sake) If you are the date, simply be sure to ask your suitor whether they possess a vent hood, and if not, simply order this via Amazon prime (in which case you will likely have to wait a maximum of two business days) and bring it along with you to mitigate both humiliation and property destruction. The added benefit (on top of, you know, safety and ego protection) of this glorious culinary tool is your houseguests taking you EXTRA seriously when they come by for what they’ll assume is a lavish meal prepared by eccentric ole’ you with your hitherto secret passion for Michelin star level cooking. They will ooh and awe at this brilliantly constructed, dare I say sculptural object and automatically assume you have been classically trained in French cuisine. The choice to tell them you have simply used it to divert the smoke from the first frozen meal you burnt by accident is your choice and our little secret. Maybe you HAVE been classically trained in French cuisine and are looking for the ultimate upgrade for your home (or commercial- honestly this thing is heavy duty and much nicer quality than whatever WaffleHouse closing offcast being used by your local pizza place, I promise) kitchen.
