My husband had a stroke so we had to set up a bed downstairs for him. He can’t climb the stairs yet. I spent hours looking online for a mattress. I kept coming back to this one. I’m so glad I did. It was delivered in a box that was manageable. I opened it, slit the plastic off, and layed it on the bed frame. I was scared after reading the reviews that it basically exploded when the air was let out. Well, it expanded just fine. No surprises. We let it sit for about three days and voila. Beautiful new mattress. It’s very comfortable and feels great. I wish I had bought the 10 inch, only because my husband is having trouble getting on it.     • Not the best for my back pain

I studied reviews for months trying to find the best mattress for me and my husband. There were positive and negative reviews of each, but ended up deciding on this mattress. I have had 2 back surgeries and currently pregnant, so was in hopes of something to really help, but unfortunately it has actually made it worse. I gave it some time to make sure it fully expanded in hopes of it getting better. The previous mattress we had was old and worn out, but I was not experiencing the back pain while laying in the bed like I have with this one. When I get up in the mornings, my whole body aches. My husband has had some days thinking the mattress may be ok, but other days where he wakes up and his shoulder is killing him. I have also noticed my arms and hands go numb pretty quickly while laying on my side, so I toss and turn back and forth from one side to another all night. I really thought the mattress was going to be perfect and definitely a cheaper option, but sadly this mattress is not working out at all for us. ... show more

I want to convey that if you are a side sleeper with serious shoulder pain; keep looking. This is not a plush mattress. I read some reviews regarding the comfort after the recommended deflation. I wanted to be fair and give my back enough time to adjust to this mattress before reviewing. It's been 3 months and the mattress is much firmer that I thought it would be. There isn't enough give and the pressure on the hips and shoulders is pretty intense. Update: I reached out to Inofia regarding their warranty. We are not able to return this mattress but they did offer a partial refund to help cover the cost of a quality topper (not a mattress pad). This did take about a week for me to get used to (I previously had a Tuft and Needle mattress but needed more support). It is firmer than I would have expected, but after the first week or two the pillow top softens out and it is quite comfy.     • *Hard* mattress, but nice?

We got a bed on Amazon about 3 years ago, and as cheap beds go, it has gotten really soft over that short time. I have sciatica and back pain. I was waking up with discomfort in my legs. Well, more like I was waking up because of the pain in my legs and my back, so it was time to switch beds. I looked at a ton of beds and we decided on this one since it is listed as being medium. We followed the instructions and actually let it sit out for 3 full days before switching our mattress out for this one. I tossed and turned all night after we changed them. It was just so hard! Now, my back doesn't hurt like it does, but I'm also not really comfortable enough to get a good night's sleep. We've had it for over a week now and I finally tossed our 3" memory foam topper on that had been holed up in the closet for a while now. Unfortunately, they just don't work together well, so that isn't helping either. I'm not sure if this bed is actually going to work for us. I ordered a 1.5" topper in hopes maybe that will help, but if you're like me and were looking for something that's actually medium or even medium-leaning-softer, this isn't the mattress for you. I would definitely classify it as a firm mattress. Not extra-firm, but definitely firm. Otherwise, it's a solid mattress. Would be nice if they'd put handles on the sides to help move it around. The only other critique is that the reinforcement it's touted to have around the edges doesn't really hold up too well if you're sitting on the edge of your bed. My review of this mattress was removed some months ago, which was odd -- because it was the most popular review of this mattress. And it called out MANY suspicious reviews that weren't removed. (That's right -- remove the HONEST review. TF.) Never the less, one year later, our full mattress has held the same basic shape it had. It hasn't crated but merely left a slight indentation where the sleeper sleeps, like all spring mattresses do. That indentation hasn't grown at all since it first appeared about 3 months in. The only shortcoming of this mattress was the off-gassing, and it costs it a full star. Why? You need about a week to off-gas this thing which means you need a spare room no person or pet will live in. I have a friend who got the very similar Novilla mattress and she claimed no chemical smell or off-gassing at all. Since INOFIA took down my helpful review I thought I'd include that plug for a much cheaper mattress. Better not remove THIS review, Mattress Boys. ... show more
