  • BEST HIGHCHAIR
Color: Trio Elite Slate
I had a very expensive Bloom Fresco high chair that was gifted to me with my first child and have tried the IKEA high chair. This high chair is a million times better! Straps- can easily install and remove for easy cleaning. 5 pt harness that buckles easily. Holds baby in well and stays put. Seat- wipable seat pad to give some comfort vs just plastic and easy to lift out the pad after eating to rinse in sink. Tray- one handed easy to take on and off. Nice wipable material. Hadn’t stained and doesn’t seem like it will. 2 of them so if one is dirty, there is another option. It is adjustable so you can get it to fit close to their body to minimize mess in the seat. I put a silicone bib with catcher and nothing barely gets into the seat since it’s pressed close to him. Height- a little taller than a dining table which is nice if you have a dog Only con- seat reclines so it is a little flimsy feeling on the seat. 2 year old also tried it out and it seemed fine even with 25 lbs in it so I don’t mind. ... show more

  • Really good for babies who can't sit well yet
Color: Slate
So I was looking for a high chair that would be supportive for a baby who couldn't really sit well by himself yet. My baby was 4 months and he couldn't really sit without support. We have another high chair that was a hand me down and it was just a basic cheap high chair. That chair was way too big and not adjustable so my baby would just slide all the way forward and be slouching in the high chair which looked really uncomfortable because his crotch was pushed all the way up against the middle bar between his legs. This high chair was a game changer. The adjustable back made it so he could sit up without sliding forward. I'm sure the rubbery gray cushion also helped him stick and not slide. I like being able to remove the chair from the base and just putting it on the ground. Restaurant high chairs don't work for him because they're huge and he just slides around in them. I haven't tried this yet but next time we go out I'm going to bring the chair with me so he can sit comfortably. The high chair will attach to regular chairs which is a really nice feature. There are two drawbacks to this chair and I'm pretty sure one of them is meant to be a feature. First, (this is the feature) the feet that don't have wheels are really "sticky" like then plant right onto the ground and don't move. This is a good thing normally, but when I want to move the chair it's a little hard to do that. Second, the base is huge and doesn't fold so it takes up a lot of space. I have a big house so the amount of space it takes up is negligible, but if you have a smaller space then it will be a bit of an eyesore and will be in the way (I've tripped over the base a few times when I wasn't paying attention). Of course you could just attach the chair part to a chair in your house and not use the base at all. Overall I'm very pleased with this chair and would buy again if I ever needed to, but this chair looks like it will hold up for multiple kids (and you can use the base and chair separately to seat two kids at the same time) so I probably won't need to. Update: I went out to eat twice since my review and both times I brought the chair with me so my baby can sit comfortably. It was really easy to bring with because it's so light and has a handle in the back for easy carrying. It's not too big so fit in the front seat very easily. We sat in a booth both times and the chair fit perfectly in the booth. Since it wasn't on a chair, we couldn't attach the highchair onto anything, so the chair wobbled a bit, but stayed in the same place for the most part. We did keep a close eye and stayed near it the whole time because we couldn't attach it to anything securely. One nice benefit to having the chair with us was the ability to recline it. We were at a slower restaurant the second time we used it and ended up there for an hour and a half. I could my baby was getting tired so we reclined the chair and he was able to sit more comfortably. The only drawback to this (and really any high chair at a restaurant) was that we couldn't bring or fit the tray so baby couldn't have his toys in front of him while we sat and ate. Still overall love this chair and how handy it is. ... show more

  • easy to use
Color: Astro
Bought it for our daughter that wanted a chair that was easy to clean and durable. They were both. Would tell anyone to buy. He's two now and hasn't broke it yet. It was easy to set up.

  • A wonderful high chair for a great price
Color: Slate
Product was very easy to assemble. We love the clear removable tray, the reclining positions of the chair and that it’ll grow with our baby. The slate material and the clear tray makes cleanup easy. Most of all our little one seems to be comfortable in the chair and it appears to be sturdy. We do wish the chair was foldable, but so far it appears to be a great chair overall. ... show more

  • Great value, dual tray feature is a must
I have had this high chair for two years without any issues aside from taking it apart, because some liquid was coming out recently. It drained easily, but since I saw some reviews about maggots, I wanted to be sure all was well inside. All was well, and there wasn't even liquid left within. (The liquid was probably urine; we are potty training diaperless.) It is the best value for all the features that I could find on the market. I spent a few hours looking. The dual tray feature ROCKS. When you are in a hurry in the morning and rush out the door and then come back and need to feed your child a snack, the second tray is great, because kids this age don't like to wait around to eat while you wash their tray and prepare food. The tray doesn't fit in my portable dishwasher except across the top rack, but I don't mind. I generally hand wash it, since kids eat 5 times a day anyway and there isn't time to run it in the dishwasher. It held up fine the several times I used it in the dishwasher though, just had to dump out the water that collected on the top of the tray. Great strap for baby between the legs to keep him from sliding out, and the shoulder straps grew with him until he was able to sit up on his own. At this point I've taken out the shoulder straps and just use the bottom straps. Very versatile. Easy to wipe down and clean. The padded cover comes off and air dries faster than any other article I have tried air drying, so he can eat on the pad as soon as the laundry is done. It's easy to wipe down, too. I have recommended this to friends. My only complaint is not due to the chair design so much as the style of my house is I wish the toddler chair had a feature to connect the tray still. My kitchen only has a tall bar table in it and the toddler chair doesn't work with it, since it's shorter now that the high chair/booster seat is unattached. The booster chair won't fit on the bar stools. However, it fits fine on our dining room chairs. you could use the high chair or booster seat with the toddler chair seperately if you have two kids. They provided enough extra straps to do so. I've seen a couple reviews about maggots, and I empathize--that's gross. But I wouldn't be deterred from buying the chair. See photos for reasons why. The first photo is the bottom piece of the chair overwhich the pad and the child's bottom sits. It has a hole for the buckle to insert into. This is the only entry point for bugs. The second photo is with the buckle inside. It needs to be that size for the strap to fit safely in. The third photo is the "inside" of the seat if you were to take it apart. You can see the bottom of the buckle and the extra fabric as a safety there to keep the buckle from coming out when the child is sitting in it. I've never had maggots and took my chair apart today just to be sure to give a legit review. ... show more
