From my wife - I have thick frizzy dry hair - with heat setting on 15 and 2 passes the hair becomes flat straight!! The second pass was just for fonishing. I was surprised that it worked at just 50% of max heat. I have used other straighteners and the results were not as great. Also in other products my hair used to stick to the plates and get pulled, it did not happen even once with this one! My hair were straight till my next hair wash so that was amazing. I love this flat iron. It has a bigger iron surface area, which makes it so much faster and easier for me to straighten my long, thick hair. I was using a smaller one for years and then realized that I could be doing this a lot faster if I had a bigger surface area to work with. It works really well. This is the best straightener I’ve had! Hair is fairly wavy and curly, just doing it’s own thing. But one pass and was straight! Only thing I didn’t like about it, where my hand holds gets pretty hot after a while. Heading to switch to holding it more towards the cord. Other than that works great!

If I could give this straightener six stars, I would. I am 27 and only owned one straightener before this one haha it was VERY worn. I decided to give this one a try because of the wide plates and ceramic plating. It takes 50% less time to straighten my thick-ass hair with this awesome tool! The media could not be loaded. With the plates being as wide as they are, it's like I can straighten my wigs at 1/2 the time it would take me to use a flat iron with slimmer plates. It gets nice and hot very quickly. Learning the heat settings was different, since it's not the actual temp of the flat iron, but once you use it for a while, you know which numbers = a specific temp. This product did not agree with my hair. It might just be me personally. The product itself was in great condition but i did feel like it wasn’t right for my curls and making them nice and straight. I bought a smaller width and it’s perfect
