I initially ordered a size smaller, which fit, but it was at the rods outer limits and make them dip a little in the middle. I sized up and have them almost as small as they go and they’re perfect. They feel very sturdy and not cheap and plasticy like a lot of curtain rods. I highly recommend them

I have them on the shortest setting so I can’t comment on sturdiness of them extra long, but I would assume they would be just as sturdy because it comes with a middle wall brace in addition to the two end ones.

I hung two of these rods and I don’t hate them enough to remove them and return them, but I wouldn’t buy them again. You have to cut the rods to size if your looking to hang something above around 88” or you want to use all three segments to enhance the rod’s strength, be prepared to have the tools ready to cut through metal. Also, the brackets that you screw into the wall are much flimsier, thinner, and uglier than those from a comparable brand at a comparable price point. I ended up using the extra, better quality brackets I had from installing curtain rods from another brand. ... show more
