I wanted to hatch some eggs before giving a review. It holds its temperature well within .6 degrees and keeps good humidity as long as you keep the reserve filled. I started with 18 Black Copper Marans eggs and 6 olive egger eggs. At lockdown 2 were found to be infertile. Of the 22 eggs that went through lockdown, 19 hatched. That was an 86% hatch rate. Under normal circumstances that would be considered a good hatch rate, but the electricity went out for 2 and a half hours on day 14 and incubator temperature went down to 93 degrees. I can’t honestly say that this event affected the 3 that didn’t hatch, but I can’t say that it didn’t. ... show more

I liked that it kept the perfect temperature, but what I didn't like was the humidity control of pouring water into the small channels, and having to keep checking it because it it would become too humid. Otherwise, it worked well enough to hatch 23 quail eggs out of 36 eggs, in two groups.

I've only had this going for 4 days but so far I really like it. It is similar to the maticoopx but smaller which to me is fine because I can handle different sized batches. Honestly it was easy to set up right out of the box. It did take a lot for it to heat up initially and the humidity struggled, but once I moved it (out from under the ac vent) it was able to stabilize. First time around using it. It worked. Second time around. Quit. We had 12 days to go. It's in our bathroom so it's checked all the time. Quit this morning around 2am. Eggs were cold. The temperature can be adjusted and is then automatically regulated. The humdity is manually controlled by adjusting the vent and keeping the base filled with water. The trays holding the eggs tilt or un-tilt each hour. As first time users, we incubated duck and chicken eggs about 90% success and bantam and pheasant eggs to about 50% success.
