Longtime fans of David Nemec may be disappointed. Mr. Nemec's forte, and appeal, has always been his way of connecting seemingly unconnected events and people, avoiding the traditional "Who did what?" fare. However, this entry strays into the latter region much too often. There are also quite a few errors, which are disappointing, coming from a Nemec work. Some of the questions are worded in such convoluted or clumsy fashions, that the reader has a hard time knowing the question, let alone the answer. The layout of the Kindle version (which may mirror the print version) is disappointing, as well, because, for most of the questions, the answer is contained on the same page as the question, robbing the reader of the enjoyment of pondering, researching, and determining the answer. ... show more
