    • So far so good.
Got these filters just a bit ago and i'm currently trying out the very first filter of the pack. I'd say in comparison to the brand name filters you'd get from the store, they seem to be a little dustier than them. A lot more loose carbon in the pack than the other ones. The recommended methods for installation differ a bit as well. With the originals, they recommend just running it under some water for a few seconds, where as the instructions for this say to soak it for a whole fifteen minutes! I did follow the included instructions, and i did the standard 2-3 preliminary fills to clear any loose carbon in the water, and so far it's operating just fine. I will note that i think the originals flow rate is just a bit faster than these. These feel more like how the filters used to work when brita just started out. A bit more of a fast trickle rather than the new ones that seem to have more of a constant flow to them. The taste of the water however seems to be about the same between the two, so for that, i'm happy. All in all, not too bad. Time will tell if they last as long. ... show more

Needed to replace my Brita pitcher fllter and figered I't try this one. Instructions are a little different than others. Wanted me to run filter under the tap but did it the usual way of letting it soak in a glass of water for a half hour. Noticed a lot of Carbon came out. Then put in the filter and it fit. Ran water through it and was fast with a lot of carbon. Did this 3 more times and no more carbon. The filter did not fall out when empting the pitcher.     • Doesn't work
Maybe I don't understand how this filter is supposed to work. I followed the instructions and let it under water for 15 seconds, then used the filter. I've dumped the water and tried again multiple times but every single time the water gets worse. I have a water tester and use it with the tap to get a rating of 280 from the tap. When the water is filtered, it comes in at 440. How in the heck does that work? I even read other reviews from other off market brand filters where they said they read the instructions said to soak them for 15mins. I dunno what instructions they read cause for this filter it doesn't say to do that, but I did it anyways. Did it make a difference? Nope, just worse water than my unfiltered tap water.     • Fits my Brita pitcher and works well so far.
These pitcher water filters fit my Brita pitcher easily and snugly. They seem to be doing the job because the tap water definitely tastes better after being filtered with these filters. They seem to last as long as they state as well. The water stays clean and fresh tasting up past the filter change date. It’s obvious they do filter out crud because if I neglect to change it, I’ll know it by the taste. These work great as far as taste and the length of life. Good deal.     • Takes a while to filter well
These filters do not fit nicely into the Brita pitcher so there is constantly some water getting into the pitcher that has not been filtered. It takes quite a while for the carbon dust to be flushed out of the filter and after that it takes a day or two for there to be no taste from it, after that the water tastes not quite filtered still though. ... show more

    • Seem to work okay
While we have a water filter hooked up to our RV, we like to run the drinking and coffee water through the Brita as an added precaution. We change them after every trip. This fit fine in the pitcher, and I'm not seeing any stuff floating around or getting any off-flavors, so I'm going to have to assume they are working. I don't like that you have to soak these filters before use. ... show more

Needed refills and gladly decided to review some new replacements. These arrived 3 to a box each sealed individually in plastic. Opened one up and ran it under the faucet for a minute. Fit in the pitcher perfect and the water tastes great. Seem to be well made and would purchase when needed again. Solid 5 out of 5 for Price, Quality, and Packaging.     • Solid value 3 pack of Brita style filters
While I normally like to use the longer 6 month style filters, this 3 pack is a great value. A fair amount cheaper than getting Brita branded filters, and the filtration seems to be just a good my water tastes great and I can't notice any difference, which I think is a great thing.
