I own a lot of flash lights and this is by far the brightest one but it would be better if they make it with a safety cover over the power Button because if It accidentally gets turned on and you are not aware of it this could Easily start a fire so use it with caution and responsible . This flashlight is super bright, and really works well. Im a freight train conductor and I use when going through tunnels, if i'm riding the rear of the train. It's so bright that it makes the night look like daylight. A great tool to have when such a light is needed. Down side if you use the 100,000 lumens it will kill your battery quickly but the other settings are just as bright. ... show more

I purchased both the Imalent MS12 and MS18 since i have been searching for a replacement for my older 2012 era 2,300 lumen flashlight whose model includes the word monster in it. The lumen output of the MS18 at its turbo 100,000 lumen setting is nothing less than remarkable. Yet i have always enjoyed having a wider range of battery lifespan and lumen options in my flashlights. For this reason i decided to keep the MS12 model. I decided to give the MS18 to my cousin as a thank you gift which he loved. The MS18 has a couple pluses over the MS12 like an OLED screen, improved cooling system and almost twice the lumen output in turbo mode. My favorite setting on the MS12 which was a deciding factor for me is the low setting at 300 lumens. This low setting is more than enough to eluminate a large room by placing the flashlight in the center of the room pointing upwards at the most familiar white colored ceilings of most homes. The fact that it can run on the lowest setting for an impressive 55 hours is remarkable. There is no heat generated at the lowest setting and the cooling fan does not activate while in this setting. My cousin did a 20 minute test with both the MS12 and MS18 at night outside his house. He let me know that the cooling system on the MS12 on turbo simply cannot keep up and the entire flaslight becomes too hot to touch without using leather gloves. He also let me know that the cooling system on his MS18 on turbo is greatly improved and keeps the flashlight at a tolerable temperature. A neat fact is that the MS18 had a higher beam intensity than the sunlight during a 95 degree midday in San Jose California in August. I plan to use the included clear plastic battery protector while not in use to prolong the inevitable self discharge rate. I also plan to top up the battery pack every three to four months. These flaslight are not small or lightweight so i highly recommend that the included shoulderstrap be used. They are also incredibly powerful and most definitely not a toy so always be careful while using the higher settings. It is wonderful to know that i have 55 hours of room lighting in case of an emergency or power outage. ... show more

    • Defective Red/Green Charging LED

The media could not be loaded. My light is malfunctioning. The light itself is still turning on. But the red/green LED battery charging status indicator light has failed. Which is very important because if I overcharge the battery it will be ruined. I'm not sure if the battery is even receiving a charge. The light is staying green permanently. I've used it for about an hour combined in the last three nights. And now the light is still green, with a portion turned black. It will not turn red like it should. This light has been used only about 25 times since purchase. Less than 6 hours of total use lifetime. It has never been dropped or exposed to moisture. Although it is rated as waterproof regardless. The manufacturer/Imalent needs to reach out to me about how this can be repaired for a fair and reasonable price. I do not wish to be overcharged say $100 or $200 for a battery indicator LED which could be replaced for $10 or less. I will say again replacing this small red/green battery light SHOULD NOT IN ANY WAY BE AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR. I will change my review from 1 to 5 stars if this issue is corrected for me in a satisfactory manner. I paid about $700 for the light and it has rarely been used. Handled very carefully. Always kept dry. Fix this please ... show more

    • Alternative To Pepper Spray

I wear this flashlight at night with the shoulder strap that comes in the package. Can be used for self defense at night. Can burn news paper. Causes the news paper to smoke, but the news paper only really catches fire when it's at distance 0 from the flashlight. Buyers should know that recently Imalent released a 200,000 lumens flashlight. Even this 100,000 lumens flashlight is enough for self defense at night, but during the day from a distance of 1.5 meters it's only as powerful as the sun hitting the ground. Of course, at a distance of 0 it's much more powerful than the sun and can burn things. ... show more
