    • Very bright but gets very hot

I haven't used this fully yet, I just received it recently and spent a few minutes messing around with it. So far I can tell that it's very bright when it's on the highest setting. But it does get hot fast when it's on that setting. I wouldn't use it more than 10 seconds on that setting. And it takes awhile for it to fully cool down after that. It also has a lower setting which doesn't seem to get it hot and it's bright enough to do most basic things at night. The strobing effect strobes intensely and rapidly. Overall it's a solid flashlight that seems to be durable and powerful. The price is just right as well. ... show more

    • Powerful Flashlight For Its Size!

Pros: Compact, fits in your pocket. Very bright on Turbo mode and even just the high setting (2000 lumen). Very adequate even at 20 and 200 lumen settings, depending on what you use it for. Love that there are a selection of colors to choose from. LED indicator is super convenient and I like the power button placement in the back. Comes with instructions that were very clear and easy to understand. Cons: Gets very hot when cranking up the brightness for more than a minute, but the manufacturer clearly states this in their instruction manual. I only listed this as a con for those that aren't already aware of this or aren't sure what other reviewers are saying is accurate. I can assure you it will get VERY hot if you leave it on 900 lumen setting or higher long enough. Please check the instruction manual on Imalent's website before potentially buying. Haven't had much time to really test the battery life, but I imagine if you were looking for a flashlight with bright, long continuous use then this would not be a good choice. My biggest negative has to be the USB cable that comes with the flashlight - it's too short and uses a magnetic clip to attach onto the flashlight for charging and it is easy for it to slip off if you don't have it sitting on a stable, flat surface. I understand the engineering reasoning for it, but still a bummer to deal with. Side note: Not a con, but this is more a flood light than a focused flashlight, so consider that, as well, when possibly buying this item. Overall: It suits my needs and is just cool to have so much potential brightness in such a small package. Most people are not going to even need 4000 lumen; the 20, 200 and 900 lumen are plenty. I almost blinded myself just by nearly looking directly into the thing at 900! The price isn't too steep, in my opinion, but it might be too much for others. At the time of this review, it was at $59.95 USD. Other than the USB cable, you can't go wrong with this thing. ... show more
