This tank is great. Sleek design that can be positioned in a few ways. The filter is great. Has been doing an awesome job so far of keeping the tank clean. It's quiet with an adjustable flow. I've seen some reviewers complaint about the plastic bottom but I didn't see any issues with that. After covering with gravel and filling with water I don't exactly intend to lift the tank. It's definitely slightly pricey but better in my opinion than a lot of other aquarium kits out there. Sometimes I put the glass lid on and sometimes I keep it off. If I had anything negative to say it's be that the glass lid is a bit annoying to place on and off but doesn't bother me much. I added a heater to this tank separately and there was plenty of space for it near the filter. Have had the tank for over a month so far. ... show more

This tank has been a nightmare from the beginning. I have several other tanks with live plants, fish and snails. This tank never filtered correctly and even after I replaced the filter, it continued to have a crazy amount of buildup and algae…Definitely don’t recommend using it for anyone who is just beginning.. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was a little hesitant to order this one because there were no reviews. But… it has been a great experience so far. We’ve had it set up for about 3 months now. I really like this aquarium. However I would have given it 5stars, however easy of use needs to be made. You need to remove the light to change the filter. The filter and light are on the same cord, so you can't place a timer for the light. The glass top accumulates a lot of moisture. It would be better if the top was made of something less likely to break and not solid to avoid moisture build up. ... show more

It’s wide and tall which is nice. It’s not super heavy, like 7 pounds maybe. Mine hasn’t leaked or anything, the filter cleans the tank of any kicked up muck in just a few minutes. If you get a four piece cleaning kit and maybe a siphon cleaner you can really clean it. Just make sure you have a flat metal cleaning piece for the walls. Right now I have a large piece of drift wood and a house in mine, it’s plenty big. The lid does built moisture on it but I like that it’s glass and that it even has a lid so my fish doesn’t fly out and my snails stay in. Haven’t found anything bad about it. Get a heater, some algafix, and keep it clean and your fish (I have a beta) will be very happy to swim around in this thing. He really likes how the filter has space under it for him to chill out and be safe. I didn’t buy this from amazon, got it from some pet store so it may say I didn’t buy it but I promise I did. Feel free to ask any questions about this tank and I will answer because it seems that not many people have reviewed it on Amazon. ... show more

    • Lid is a Death Trap for Fish

Do not buy this tank unless you like to have your little kids cry every time one of their pet fish jumps out of the tank to its death. For some inexplicable reason, the geniuses at Imagitarium who designed the glass lid cut a large 45-degree opening at one of the corners, ostensibly as an oversized hole to drop fish food into. However, the opening is so big, as you can see from the photo, that fish can easily jump out. We've lost five neon tretas and an African dwarf frog over the past several months. I need to now go out and buy a properly sized glass lid that doesn't allow aquatic animals to leap to their death. Real tired of finding our children's little pet fish dried up and dead on our counters and floor. ... show more
