It took some time but my 12 year old and I were able to put it together by ourselves by following the easy instructions. He has a small bedroom and installing a loft bed gave him so much more floor space. Only negative is the ladder is not comfortable on bare feet. Great bed for a great price.

My 14 yr old daughter wanted this bed for months. I finally got it for her as an early Xmas present. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it is. It’s really beautiful & she loves it. She put it together all by herself. The only thing that’s a bummer are the foot rails are skinny so I’m afraid it will hurt her feet. The media could not be loaded. Hard to sleep under if the person above rolls around a lot in their sleep. Loud creaking noises. Not sure if there's anything to fix it. I have purchased a hex set for my electric drill and tightened it as much as. Would be very frustrating and almost impossible to take it apart and return it so I guess we are stuck with it. That's the problem with these kind of items. Very difficult to return. You just have to decide if you can live with the imperfections. At least if you know them in advance you can be prepared. At first my granddaughter was a little nervous climbing the ladder. She said it felt like it was wobbly, but it wasn't noticeably so. After she went up and down a few times it didn't bother her. The ladder is definitely uncomfortable for bare feet. I bought her a $5 pair of slippers that have a rubber sole. I also bought the role of adhesive foam to wrap the bars with, but it comes undone and after a few days was already tearing a bit so doesn't seem like it's going to be lasting. I wrapped the ends with bandaging tape to keep it on at least for a while. I think maybe without it with the slippers that it would be okay. Their thin slippers that can be stuck at the end of the bed so easy for her to grab and put on when she's getting up and then to store for when she's in the bed. Overall, it is a good space saver and if no one is sleeping under it, or in the same room, then it shouldn't be a bother to anyone. ... show more

Bought two, one for each of my 13 year old twin girls. Heartily recommend. Arrived very quickly and very well packaged. All parts clearly labeled, complete, and in good shape. Instructions were easy to read, and clear. The entire thing took a bit to put together, but very little compared to other items of similar size and complexity. The entire thing is quite sturdy, and well designed. Having said that, it is both lightweight and tall so it "wobbles" when someone is moving around on it. Not enough to cause any fear that it might fall over. This isn't significant enough to make the twins uncomfortable, but I can see how it might be scary for some people and I did decide to use the included anchors though I don't think they are necessary unless people are being stupid and literally pulling the bed over. End of the day, the room is much, much "larger" for them now, and each of them has their own space. They each have a computer desk and chair plus a small reading / sitting chair underneath with plenty of room to use them (actually, one has a chair the other has a bean-bag). I recently bought two of these loft beds and after building both beds I was going to put the sheets on and realized that these loft beds are NOT SAVE. I put in for a return and refund and stated on my "return" notes the reasoning and I was made to pay for shipping plus more. I went back and force with the supplier and they felt that there is nothing wrong with their product and I mentioned my concerns. They kept $104.33 from my total refund which they shouldn't. The reason I believe this bed is UNSAVE is that even with the wall mounts the beds shake and the steps ARE TOO THIN which hurts your feet and if your child is sleepy as they want to climb down to use the restroom at night, they will eventually slip and fall. The seller made things very complicated and I had to go back and force with varies messages. DO NOT BUY THESE BEDS, THEY'RE NOT SAVE. ... show more
