There is a small learning curve to this, I had some trouble trying to get my hair to dry the first few times before I got the hang of it. You want to make sure you use something for frizz if you're using this with curly hair because your hair will poof out with the way that this works. It does straighten! But you'll get a bit of a poof with it if you're like me with hair texture. If you have naturally straight or light wavy hair this would be perfect for you! I originally thought this was a regular flat iron style hair straightener when I ordered this. However, the mistake was on me because I didn't read the product description very well. What it is, is basically a blow dryer designed like a flat iron. I still decided to try it out anyway. Which, Afterwards I found that it really didn't do the job of straightening like it's advertised. I think the design is a good ideal though. I just think there needs to be something added to it that puts tension on the hair while using it. That's why a tradional blow dryer works. The hair dresser will use a brush to put tension on the hair while moving the brush and dryer downwards. It's also the same concept with a blow dryer brush. While brushing through the hair, the brush part puts tension on the hair at the same time as blowing the air in a downward direction. Furthermore, if upgrades were made to the design of this straightener, I would try it again because it has the potential to be a huge time saver for hair stylists (Time is money). ... show more

I bought one of these and got 2 full uses out of it. On the third use the hair dryer stopped working in the middle of doing my hair. I returned it and got another one and the second one wouldn't even turn on. I tried multiple outlets and tried to reset it and still didn’t work. This one step air straightener is kinda bulky and awkward to hold, but it works for my long hair. I've always been really hesitant with the wet to dry straighteners but this isn't supposed to have that heat damage risk so I tried it out. My hair looked a little frizzy after using this but I used some hair products and the frizz came down.
