  • 3 year review of weekly use.
Amazing driver set I use it weekly. Probably my most used tool. I like to buy broken stuff on ebay/locally for dirt cheap and fix it. Love the company and I believe the bits are covered by their lifetime warranty. I haven't had any issues but I hear that some people have issues with some of the tiny bits bending. I've only noticed that with the smallest of flatheads and I probably was using the wrong bit for the job. I've really put mine through the paces and repaired hundreds of things and it's been great. I actually wish I got the bigger kit with the Mahi driver though and maybe a tool roll to hold other stuff I constantly need with repairs. But that costs more and I probably wouldn't of gone for it at the time not realizing how much use these screwdriver bits would be to me. Things I would like to see is the tray a different color and deeper grooves for holding screws. The black tray makes black screws impossible to see. Maybe blue to match the aesthetic? Also maybe include the white piece of paper insert to make the bit sizes easier to see. There's a printout online but mine didn't come with it and that seems free for them but not for me especially since I don't have an easy way to cut out the holes. Also I put rubber feet on the top of my tray and the bottom to make it stick better. I think this should be standard to some extent. Here's my recommendations if you're a just starting a tool collection and don't own a screwdriver, get the $70, 112 bit kit. You'll be covered for anything big or small for a lonnnnng time. If you already have girthy multidriver you like and you see yourself doing alot of precision repairs. Just stick to the Mako set. You can also get a tool roll and kit it out yourself (what I did) or buy their $75 kitted out version. Their pro tech toolkit version seems to be tailored to phone repair with all the spudgers and pry tools. I don't do those types of repairs as much and prefer to have soldering/cleaning tools in my roll. Anyway get this and don't look back. I do sortof wish it was still $29.99 though. Sucks for you guys! ... show more

  • Expensive, but solid set
I purchased this set after I stripped a screw on my Steam Deck, and I didn't have any of the right screwdrivers to fix it. None of the ones were the right size to remove the stripped screw. This set has every bit you'll ever need and more. I've used it on my Macbook Pro and my Steam Deck so far, along with the typical Phillips/Flathead screwdriver. The screwdriver is made out of metal, and it feels premium. All of the bits are also magnetic, and it comes with a very strong magnetic bit too. Unfortunately, as like most IFixIt screwdriver products, it's hard to actually see the markings on the case for what each bit is, along with getting it out without poking yourself or taking out another bit with you. It's also just really expensive, but that's the price for something solid and good quality. ... show more

  • Made of REAL alloy for tools
This is a very good set of tools, made of REAL alloy. Just what I needed to upgrade RAM in my Mac Mini 2018 from 8gb to 64 gb. One screw on the motherboard was hard to unscrew, I wrapped the handle with paper towel and with TR10 it was done without any damage to that screw. Now my Mac mini works much better. I read a lot of reviews about cheap tool sets, it is better to pay more for better quality and use the set without any bad issues. Good luck everyone! ... show more

  • I was skeptical but no more
Bought a couple of othe kits at same time to compare. This the most expensive of my selection. It turns out to be the best of the bunch. I’m a tool head I almost always try to fix my own gear with the rational “I can fix this myself and pay for the tools with the money I save.” This worked out great. Intelligent, thoughtful, ergonomic design with the right size bits in all the right formats. This is the best tool set I’ve ever bought and I’ve been doing this for almost 70 years ( I look great though). This kit is so good I am setting out from the get go to not loose the bits. I’m kinda bad at loosing stuff and leaving a trail of left over tools in my wake. Theese guys did a great job and I’m looking for more of their gear. ... show more

  • VERY Well Made!
In the past few months I've had to take apart some things like laptops to replace batteries and memory, cellphones to clean them out and replace batteries, and made some small modifications on other electronics. I'm so glad iFixit (which I've used for other parts, too) made this small set of tools, as it's saved me several times. For example, my kids keep losing the Ring screwdriver.. well, no problem! This kit has the exact tool you need for that. With a ton of options, no matter how small or intricate the bit you need, this thing will have it. Also, as an side, the packaging is really cool and very durable. Everything is plainly and clearly labeled, and they sit inside a nice form-fitting foam base. They've clearly taken some time and care to making a great product, and I appreciate that. ... show more

  • Great kit
Used this kit to help build my PC and it worked great. The magnetic tip is a nice touch which helps with those pesky tiny screws. The handle feels sturdy and well made.

  • Excellent quality, bits hold up very well.
I use this daily at work, has every bit you could need for electronics. Had a couple Walmart set and the torx bits kept getting twisted, these seem a lot stronger.

  • Need to replace fans on my EVGA 3080 Ti FTW3
They had all the bits I needed to replace the fans. Plus will come in handy for other needs.
