On colder days we will have it on for quick runs to the bathroom out back. The reflective stripe and the harness/collar opening is perfect. We also like the rear wraps that keep the back portion of the vest in place when our girl runs or has the zoomies. Vest appears very durable and it does repel water. This coat is perfect. It's warm, easy to put on, it covers well. The underneath part is well made for a male dog. He can lift his leg and it doesn't get on the coat. There is a hole on the top for the leash to attach. The neck can be tightened to keep the wind out. There is plenty of flexibility to put this coat over another outfit. I wear a headlamp when walk him at night and it makes the reflective stripes really stand out. He looks so cute in this coat. This is a size medium for a Chihuahua mixed with Jack Russel. Well insulated, easy to put on, vibrant color, bigger than expected. Returned it and ordered a size smaller. The quality seems excellent, not cheap at all. Still, it could be cheaper priced. I would still recommend it to anyone to buy for their Dog.

I love how soft the lining on the inside is. I also appreciate how easy the jacket attaches and it leaves plenty of room for layers. My dog is a pit bull, and he has very little fur. He gets cold very easily. However, when he wears this jacket, I can feel his warm fur underneath. It’s a great quality. I did think it had a zipper, but it does not. I also was hoping that there was no openings for air to get in- but with the layers- he is good. But he does stay warm with just the jacket on as well. ... show more

We’re about to get some very cold weather so I needed a coat for my 13-year-old dog. Based on the reviews, I chose this one and it did not disappoint! It’s so soft and snuggly on the inside, and water resistant on the outside.
