I have two small Yorkipoos (each around 11 pounds) who have both been attacked by other peoples bigger dogs. I wanted something that would cover most of there body for protection but was also comfortable. These are perfect! I got both dogs an XS and added spikes to the outside of them for extra protection. The quality is great, they cover most of my dogs body and they seem comfortable. Maybe slightly heavy (if your dog is any smaller you may have to look for something a bit lighter) but not so heavy my dogs can’t walk in them. They also are stylish! Since my Jack Russell is an exceptional escape artist, and my German Shepard/Beagle mix is getting older and likes to feel secure when out for walks, I spent a lot of time researching harnesses and then going through comments for the good, bad and the ugly. This is the one I finally landed on and our furbabies have never escaped their harness in the two years they have had them. I recently bought my third Icefang for my daughter's Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix after she slipped her old harness and was hit by a car. Thankfully she was more scared than hurt and made a quick and full recovery, but I was not about to take another chance on my grandfurbaby getting hit again. My daughter says it fits her furbaby perfectly (even though she has an odd shaped body - long skinny legs and a very muscular lean body with a longer neck) and she actually behaves better on the leash when she is wearing it. We got her the bright orange one so that she can be seen from miles away and the Molle velcro system is definitely an added bonus- being Army families, we just put their names on a velcro name tape strip and call it good. If you have a dog that likes to escape out of their harness or just isn't behaving well on a leash and you are looking into getting a harness, so far, this is the best one that I have found- just be sure to adjust it according to the included instructions and do trim the straps as needed so your own furbaby doesn't trip up while they are out having the (secure) time of their lives. ... show more

I think this will last us for life. Only complaint I have is it squeaks. Hopefully with time this will stop lol. Takes multiday trial and error to tune in the fit and adjustment.

Everything about this feels durable. Our 7 month old GSD ( who is on his way to be 100# ) enjoys it. The harness looks much better and fits great with the 2 belly straps. This makes him easy to control and lift.

If anyone has a 'Houdini Hound', I highly recommend this harness. We lost our privacy fence and driveway gate to Derecho (Inland Hurricane in Cedar Rapids, Iowa), so walking is a challenge, especially with the deer in the neighborhood. Lily is a Tree Walking Coonhound, so the smells of all the downed trees and displaced wildlife has her nose going in all directions. Our home faces an extremely busy road and she's escaped several times by backing out of her collar. She broke the last harness after weight gain and the poor quality of it. She has now lost weight, (90 lbs to 80 lbs) since the storm because of walking, which is great for her health, but she maintains the same strength. She's an expert at backing out of collars and other harnesses, so after alerting to a deer scent on our walk the other day in which she pulled herself out of the collar and ran to the street, I had to find a solution. She howls, cries, barks, and grounds into the pavement or yard when detecting deer, and sadly, the remains of car accidents involving them. Although she looks displeased, she likes it and gets excited when I bring it out. Even when I opened the box she was ready to put it on. It IS 100% escape proof. We've had several situations since it arrived which would have resulted in an escape. I'm able to control her (3 leashes right now), the handle is in a perfect position, and it's comfortable for her. I was concerned about the 4 plastic buckles, but it fits properly, and the 2 metal ones make up for what I thought could be a problem with the plastic. I measured her according to the directions which is key to making the purchase. I was going to buy the one with only 4 buckles, but am glad I purchased this one with the 6 and handle across her back. Once initially adjusting the straps and buckles, it's easy to put on and take off. I highly recommend this product. ... show more
