6-29-24 5 stars This is lightweight at around 2-1/2 lbs, making it a great choice for an RV. I ordered the specifically to make tea or iced tea, using my own loose leaf, tea bags or pods. And it does a great job at that all while being pretty quiet, especially when compared to my Keurig. Something I figured out is that this will steep and run as long as there's water in the reservoir. So for instance when I want to make a gallon of iced tea I add the appropriate amount of tea in the basket and then just add water when the level is almost empty and while it's still steeping and of course change out the cup underneath as I go, then just mix all the cups together in my gallon jug. I also run the machine on "Strong" which seems to be intended for coffee but works for tea also. This is great for when I have company and don't have the time needed to make suntea. Honestly I don't know why it has a button for over ice or iced tea since the water is heated either way, but maybe not as hot, so it doesn't melt as much of your ice. It doesn't seem to make a difference, at least to me. Either way you want to have your cup filled to the rim with ice on both settings. It will melt the ice, until 2/3 to 1/4 remaining in your cup. It's handy whether you're making a single cup or a gallon of tea and I don't have to worry about over boiling and drying out a kettle on the stove. Was lucky I found this product as didn't know you can get a single brew machine. There are times I need a single cup only or after pot emptied another cup. This product fits the bill. I like the versatility as I typically grind my coffee before serving. My wife prefers tea and we have both bag and loose leaves. I don't use Kpods but now realize this product is great for parties. If a guest wants a cup of coffee/tea they can help themselves to a Kpod rather than I making a wasted pot of coffee. In terms of the device itself. Easy to use, convenient and no issues with cross contamination from a cup of coffee to cup of tea. When we travel this becomes a big deal as the places we stay have a coffee maker that leaves a coffee taste in tea and my wife hates coffee. Some observations: Oversize cups or travel mugs (Diameter) will require removal of the catch basin and won't fit cleanly on the pad. That is not a deal breaker for me. Because there is a natural long gap between coffee cup and drip point you may get some splash, especially when cup nearly full on machine or surface. Once, for whatever reason (too fine a grind?) some coffee grinds escaped the basket, but cleaning is easy to do. The only drawback I have noted is the power cord. Way too short. Should be at least 3 feet so you can place it where you want and not pretty much next to power outlet which could be an issue depending on your house etc. The manual notes that short power line was done for "safety issues" but informs you you can use extension cord or power cord to make up for shortfall of the power cord. I'm normally a cold brew person but every once in a while I get a hankering for hot fresh coffee but being single why brew a whole pot? This gadget is worth the small bit of counter space it takes up; measuring about 9"D x 4"W x 12"H. It's easy to set up - give cups a wash & wipe down your machine to remove any factory funkiness. There is even a small recipe book with things to try. There is a window on the water tank to see exactly how much is in there (6oz-16oz). It has a drip tray in case of overflow. The drip tray can also be removed to allow a taller cup under the spigot. After about 300 uses the machine will flash the descale button to let you know it needs cleaned. Unfortunately the descaling solution is not included. I would have expected at least a small bottle to be included for this price point. I love that I can use it to make tea, fresh grounds or pods, normal brew or "bold". There is an accessory for each type which makes it super versatile. There is even a button to brew over ice, It isn't a cold brew per se but just add a few extra cubes when it's done and there ya go. Overall I have been impressed and enjoyed using this machine. If you have a small place, are single or just want the occasional cuppa, this machine is the one for you ~ enjoy! ... show more

This is a great thing and I'm glad we have it. I've used it for regular hot tea which came out wonderful. We have a K-cup thing that is now going to be taken upstairs - that's where the coffee drinkers are ;) - and this will be in our kitchen along with the regular coffee pot. The manual to this was misplaced, of course, so I'm not sure how to descale it but the rest seems pretty easy, especially after watching a couple of videos LOL. Given all the reviews so far, the only thing I would agree with on the Con side is that it is very light and I'm wondering if the technology of the plastic will be as good as the K-cup thing or if it's a lower quality and warp at some point. That said, if you like tea or coffee iced or regular, by the cup, I'd recommend this. BTW, if anyone knows where an online manual is or something similar, I'd love to know :) ... show more
