I think the packaging and the slit on the bottom where they put the pegs was absolutely genius. I remember unboxing it and thinking, hmmm. Where is the rest of the stool. Then I seen the zipper and thought. Wow!! That guy/girl is a rockstar. Simple to assemble, as time progressed the padding on the stool is pretty much no longer padded. I feel like I’m sitting on a block on wood. I loved this thing for a few days while it was new and fresh. But over a weeks time my hind end gets sore sitting on it. My intentions may not be for the same intentions as others. Maybe a foot rest or a stepping stool for some. I have a really low coffee table and at night time spend a couple hours doing work at my table so I needed something low to the ground with some padding to sit on. I love this little stool, I use it under my desk at work to put my feet up. It's super comfortable - I just slip off my shoes and rest my feet on the cushy top. I also like the secret compartment under the lid. When it arrived, the stitching had split apart a little on one corner near a leg, but it just took a minute to grab a needle and thread and fix it. Not even worth the bother of trying to contact anybody about the problem, and now it's perfect. I have used it daily since I got it, and it still looks like new. I have a new puppy that found a small hole on my antique footstool & started chewing it up. So, until I can get it recovered, I bought this one to use in the meantime. He has not tried to chew on this one's fabric at all. It is well made, but the height is much shorter than my old one.
