It is thick, fits perfectly in my SUV and has all the little finishes that make it so much more functional: handles to carry it, strong zippers, anti sliding bottom, inside packet and more. The product does work quite well. There are a couple areas that could be improved. The heavy-duty nylon appears to be durable although dogs do not get much traction on it. I have purchased two bath rugs and now both dogs have traction and a soft place to lay. The use of an orange edging on the cover is not aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It does not match or contrast to very many color combinations of vehicle colors. If you have an orange vehicle and a black interior, it is perfect. I do not. The zippers have been criticized by other reviewers. The zippers, if used as designed are sufficient. It becomes a problem if the user uses the zipper to draw the sides together. No zipper is designed for this abuse. Simply approximate the sides together and it will zip up as designed. I have since chosen not to use the side flaps since my dogs do not attempt to contact the door panels. I simply tuck them under the cover. I have a Silverado and the straps that hold the cover in place are perfectly placed. ... show more

Love that it is heavy duty. I have 2 dogs, both 125 pounds plus, and have no signs of any sort of wear and tear. The only issue I have is the center zipper, I didn't expect the zipper to zip down. Since one of my dogs, I need to let her up using the floor of the back seat (she can't jump up to the seat) and find it hard zippering from the top of the zipper. Dealing with her and fighting with getting it zipped has been a challenge. ... show more

The hammock looks like really good quality. It doesn't have that waterproof painted on stuff but more of a plastic fabric type backing that feels a lot better. Besides don't work well with my car as they lean in, so I just have them drape down to protect the seat instead of the door. Fits really well in my Jeep Liberty. I love that this has the seat anchors. I wish the back was a little bit taller, but I just draped a blanket over the back of my seat so the dog hair doesn't get there. The slider buckle on the seat restraint belt was broken upon arrival. I really like the clip that is on it though and that it is locking. I have had the dog get loose from another one before, so I like that feature. Working on fixing this one so I can use it since I like the clip so much. ... show more

It took me about five minutes to install this dog seat in my car by myself. My dog didn’t like riding in my car before, because I have leather seats, even while wearing their seatbelts, they were uncomfortable. Now they love riding in the car, their seatbelt slips right through the Velcro to keep them safe. This seat protector works great! It keeps my Mini-Aussies confined to the backseat and saves my backseats and doors from being scratched. It's waterproof and one side is covered with a non-slip material to prevent it from scooting around the seat. It also has some pieces you shove between the back of the seat and the bottom to hold the cover. There are connections the wrap around the headrests that secure it and protect the back of the front seats. It comes with two stretchy pieces, each with one metal end that buckles into the car's seatbelt connection. The other end is plastic which I attach to the D ring on my dog's harnesses. I feel at ease, once they are secured, that they are not going to jump out of the car until I'm ready to release them. And, God forbid, should there be an accident, I know the dogs aren't going to be tossed around and injured. Ive had several pet seat protectors and this is the best so far. ... show more

We’ve gone through a couple of these types of seat covers over the years. This one is Very durably made and fits the back seat well of our SUV. The side panels are nice they protect the areas from being scratched or dirty where the passenger door handles are & must be unzipped & unhooked before the dog can jump out. A slight inconvenience but protects your pet from leaping out too soon. One negative is the front part is low so our big dog is right over our shoulders. ... show more
